They're changing the defense next year. Bobby witnessed firsthand in Bozeman and Fargo that they can't run this defense and beat run heavy teams.

Lmao. Well if it's true that our DC is retiring, wouldn't the defense change, regardless? Way to predict that one bud!

The defense was Bobby's that he brought from San Diego, not the D-coordinators. That was part of the problem, most of the coaches don't have the integrate understanding of the 3-3-5 to make in-game adjustments.

Thinking Baer didn’t have an intimate(don’t know wtf you meant by integrate) understanding of the D when he’s coached for 50 years is an asinine position. It was Bobby’s plan and Baer ran it to the best of his ability with the players he had. He understood the strengths and weaknesses. His understanding with the lack of athleticism we had in the back for coverage led him to believe that constant pressure was the most effective way to success. His plan worked a lot better with a physical athlete like Robinson in their in 2021 than cotton or Hauck or graves in 2022. On top of that they were in constant contact with other programs around the country about the defense and schemes. What’s old is new again, and we’re reliving the 90’s and early 2000’s again. Just like the defenses are cycling through offenses are changing too with the RPO game and incorporating spread concepts in traditional offenses.

That being said, seeing how the conference and FCS is built right now it’s clear a change is in order to be competitive.

Take this to the bank, just like the claim that coaching changes were coming today,

They were actually earlier in December, but new contracts don't start until the first of the year.

Well it's the 2nd now... what's taking so long? 🤔

If you do have inside info, ppl just prolly fucking with you just to see how much shit you spread.

Its a holiday and what's really funny is that people on egriz think the U has an obligation to announce coaching changes on this platform.

You post changes happening Monday, said in the other thread it already happened in December, now it's a holiday.

You clearly aren't in the know as much as you claim to be. Weird how UM basketball can make a tweet.. Today isn't a fucking holiday. Yesterday was. What is it? New Years after? Never heard of it.

You apparently feel obligated to spout off.. 🤣

Every school feels obligated to tell their fan base what is going on... it's how it works and why every team at every level announces shit within a decent time period.

Agree, and think you may see any coaching accouchements on gogriz before egriz.

When did "Bobby" become the school? Assistant coaches and players don't do media without his express consent. And most of that is UM-sponsored/produced stuff. He decides what's talked about, to whom, and when. If there were some kind of obligation, half of what's "speculated" on here wouldn't exist. There is no obligation to let anyone know anything. Have you watched one of his press conferences? The actual prescedent here is more akin to something from the movie Caddyshack. "You'll get nothing, and like it."

False. I played High School football, not college. Just like Bobby. :thumb:

But Bobby knows football and coaches it, and you don't. Your posts show your lack of knowledge.

And yet my track record of predicting games is very good, whereas your predictions usually suck, bad.

If Bobby knows football so well, you think he'd be better at coaching it. Vigen has a vision for winning, and proves it on the field. Bobby.... just talks about winning, and DOLA and RTD and stuff. Good talker. 4-4 in conference play when you were picked to win the Big Sky. Lemme guess... one of your players got an owie?

Hauck embarrassed Vinen in '21; Vigen returned the favor in '22. That's all.

If you think those two games were similar you're clueless. The only takeaway from those games is that one coach learned from it and played for the national title and the other had his ass hand to him again two-weeks later.

In 2021, in the playoffs, one team lost its starting qb and best receiver and one didn’t.

At a certain point, don't you run out of excuses for why the Cats have been outperforming UM? It's ok to admit that. Doesn't make you a bad fan. The reverse has been true in the past and will certainly be true again at points in the future.

One coaching staff prepared for losing their starting qb and one didn't.

So, are you a fan of the Griz staff or no?

Supporter of Bobby, but its waning. Similar outcomes next year and I'll be off the wagon. His recruiting failures and unwillingness to adapt his approach with present-day players is mindboggling to say the least.
