26 Winning Seasons in a Row

Griz1

Well-known member
If anyone would have told us back when Don Read was hired that the Grizzlies would have a winning record for 26 years in a row we would have thought they were crazy. What a great accomplishment.

Am I disappointed with a losing season. Yes I am. But I was more disappointed when the streak ended against the Cats.

If all the critics out there would just list all the teams who have had more winning seasons in a row I would like to see what schools they are. If anyone can name another team with more post season appearances in a row I would like to see that too.

The difference between winning and losing was close this year. We did not take advantage of the opportunities that were presented to us this year or we would have continued the streak. We have a lot to be proud off and will start a new streak in 2013. Go Griz! We will be back!!!!

Of course we will be back. That is what Griz Football is all about. On the side I have taken this small shot is in many ways good for us. We beat up lesser teams so long we simply took it as a given!

Yeah, anyone doubting us is: dumb, a bobcat, other nuts that do not count. Naw we will be back!

If we get a decent HC and a decent QB the Griz will be back. Otherwise, it could take a couple of years to rebound IMO. In the short term, JJ coming back would help greatly. Hope is eternal.

Your Defense is still awesome and I don't think you graduate much there. I was impressed that you guys were able to do what you did yesterday. Only Sac State was able to shut us down like the Griz did yesterday. Anybody that says the Griz are going away sure didn't watch any of your games. The Bobcats just had too many horses to lose that game. With all of the distractions surrounding your team, many would have folded under the pressure. I give the guys that worked hard and never quit and tried to do things the right way a lot of credit. I also give a lot of credit to your fans that stuck with your team where a lot of Bobcat fans would have bailed on us. Example is last years playoff game after you whooped us.

Hang in there Grizzlies, it will all work out in the end.

I appreciate your post and I am not trying to start any sh1t but I don't think think it was necessarily about you having more horses, although that is a given at the qb position at least, I think it was more about coaching.
Bobcats coaching staff>Grizzly coaching staff.

Classy comments LTCatFan.

These Grizzlies have the talent. Not hating the coach, nor placing "the blame" on his shoulders. However the first (and most important) step is to hire a new coach. Having a temp coach at the helm, using a predecessor's system, has the team disjointed and uncertain as to where we are headed. If left as is it will also hurt recruiting. So hope this necessary step is done this off season and not put off into the future. Get this behind us and Griz Nation should see the start of another long winning streak.

After looking like a shell shocked puppy last year, I believe your Irish Lad really stepped up and won this year's game for you. He certainly had his "A" game going. Hope he keeps it up. Good luck in the playoffs. I like your chances. :ugeek:

Thanks 82. McGhee has been playing his best football since the EWU game and our OL is playing better than any of us had hoped. If the Cats continue playing like every game is the last, we have a shot, but if we get too cocky again like last year, we'll bounce in the second round.
