I'll play a little devil's advocate here since what I am about to bring up has bugged me for years. Why, if Griz football fans are such strong supporters of the team, do more than half of them regularly fail to make it back into the stadium prior to the second half kick off? :? I know this is true since I do make it back on time, every time.

I guess the cannon going off at 5 minutes does not work. I used to go out at half time but stopped doing it because it seemed like I never made it back in time and last season alot of stuff happen at the beginning of the 3rd quarter.

Same here. I just bring a flask and relax rather than run to a tailgate, chug two beers and run back, still missing some of the early Q3 action. Part of growing up, I guess....

For a lot folks, its not just the game but the entire day which includes the tailgates etc. I'd say I make it back about 70% of the time but sometimes that extra beer is just tasting too good! :beer2:

For those of you who liketo keep score, this is a 1.3% increase over last year. That is the lowest increase in several years. My recollection is that tickets were around $15 to $20 higher last year than the year before, which is closer to a 10% increase.

What was the price per ticket last year? I really don't recall.

Face prices:
South Dakota $28
Liberty $28
Northern Arizona - Homecoming $55
Southern Utah $28
Idaho State $28
Montana State $60

$760.00 for 3 seats and parking. Best 760 bucks I will spend all year. This is a typical eBitch.com thread.

When I moved down here in 2000 I was feeling separation anxiety and heard an ad for Texas Tech football which they were touting as 7 home games that included visits by Nebraska and the Longhorns. I paid $450 for a season ticket for a seat about 15 rows up from the 50 yard line and thought I'd hit the proverbial pot of gold. I said hell I've paid more than that for a set of tires, the next year Texas Tech went to a bid system for their premiere seating season tickets so I knew that $450 was a distant memory. You guys don't know how good you've got it there.

Hey! Half you guys are idiots sitting here damn near begging them to raise prices. It's like a bunch of lil men claiming their dick is bigger because they'll pay whatever price.

I can tell you that I've had to deal with cancer the last two years making it difficult to go to some games. Last year there were a few games I couldn't GIVE my tickets away. If you think the demand is what it used to be you're fooling yourself.

I had tix to WA Huskies for 90 and 91 season and I did not mind paying big money for a place like Husky Stadium in their glory years. But I have mixed feelings about paying what we do, even though the Griz have historically delivered a great show. State has improved, but you could still buy end zone seats last year for $13 each. We are paying an average 38 for endzone. State charged around 30-33 for sideline seats and we are way above that when you consider the donation required. But then state does not need as much revenue since their athletic dept receives so much more institutional support. The other frustrating thing is having to come up with the $ by 4/1when dealing with taxes. But Griz fans will go without food to buy our tix.

I have a buddy that won't be in town this fall who has 4 - 50 yard line 3rd row, tickets available, West side. Cost is $2,600 plus 75.00 for two parking passes. That's what I pay so I know it is cost. PM me if you are interested and I will put you in touch with him.

Have to agree with Si on this one. There were a couple games last year where I had a couple tickets to sell. I was dang lucky to get $10 for each. It's sad, but he's right. It's very easy to get tickets now where in year's past, not so much.

If it's true that Roots is planning to televise only 2 Griz games (including the Cat game) next fall, and televise more of the Cat games, and UM is scrambling to find someone (like KPAX) to pick up the other games, people may want to hold onto their season tickets.
