Got busy at work this morning and wasn’t able to post this morning. Now time to talk about the returners to the Big Sky in Southern Utah. They have been a bubble team the last 2 seasons and have been on the wrong side of it each time! Let’s dive in!
August 29 @ Montana - L. What a way to be welcomed back to the Big Sky in any sport by playing your first conference game in Wa-Griz. I expect to see a highly motivated Griz team and a long day for the T-Birds.
September 5 vs. Weber State - W. Another previously scheduled game that was grandfathered in for non-conference. I’m not high on Weber this year and I think SUU gets it done at home.
September 12 @ Colorado State - L. CSU was really bad last year but now with Jim Mora at the helm, I expect them to be improved. Easy win for the Rams!
September 19 @ St. Thomas - W. Always a bad look when you a play a road game against a PFL. Better not drop this one.
September 26 vs. Idaho State - L. This is a really big game for both teams. I personally think ISU is the better team and should win this game, but I won’t be surprised if SUU hangs on at home.
October 3 @ Utah Tech - W. Short bus trip down to St. George. T-Birds should get an easy win here.

October 17 vs. UC Davis - L. Davis has had some serious problems playing in Cedar City over the years (including last year), but if they are who we think they are, then they should roll in this game.
October 24 @ Idaho - L. Coin flip game. If this was in Cedar City then I’d probably pick them. I’ll take Idaho at home though.
October 31 vs. Northern Arizona - W. Hell with it, I’ll pick the T-Birds in this one. Might as well take an upset somewhere.
November 7 vs. Northern Colorado - W. Should be fine at home in this one.
November 13 @ Portland State - W. Friday night Football. T-Birds will be just fine on the road.
November 21 vs. Chicago State - W. SUU is the one BSC team that only plays 8 conference games. When you have an odd number of teams, they can’t all play an odd number of games. So they get an additional non-conference against the newest FCS program out there. Nice win at home.

I’ve got Southern Utah going 7-5 which is about where they’ve been. It hasn’t been good enough to get them into the playoffs and it may not again. We’d have to see. That’s my prediction. Thoughts???
