2026 Roster as is with signings

looking at that Peyton and 1884 provided there is no mention of a center. Jack D'Ambra listed as OL not as center. Looking at his X profile it says he has played 5 different O-Line positions. He has started 30 games and not all as a center. So what makes him a starting center?
The Griz need a leader at center to call protections and handle snaps. Jack D’Ambra has strong technique, intelligence, communication skills and experience playing center in addition to other offensive line positions.

That is why he entered the portal because he was so good. He may fill a spot or not, but he is not impressive.

Honestly by this two deep, we will be good to great at all positions except OL and DT. We likely will be average to good in those spots. Not a championship caliber roster

I think it's too early to know. Brent Myers may be just what the doctor ordered for the OL. Plus I really like both D'Ambra and Drummond on the OL. D'Ambra was all-conference and Drummond played in all 14 games for UNLV this year as un underclassmen. As for DT, I think Semaulo with another offseason of development could be a good to really good player for us. Hayden Hanks if he's 100% healthy could turn heads too. Let's see how Spring ball goes first!

He was all conference in the FCS. If he was coming from the SEC you would be complaining that he was dropping down. What type of offensive line transfer do you want the Griz to get?
The best they can find and not ones just to fill holes.
That did not work.

2025 he only played in 4 games.. Wonder why?
Wanted to save the redshirt so he could transfer to a bigger program would be my guess. Montana and MSU for that matter are a completely different football environment than the Pioneer League.

To do that you need to limit the holes on your roster year to year which goes back to high school recruiting and player development. The coaches are not idiots and already know this. That is why they have been on a recruiting tour this month.

I think Keim moving to nose and adding 10 to 15 is the answer to develop that position.

Like MSU?

"That is why they have been on a recruiting tour this month." That is their job and something they do every year. So far it has not been successful that is why they had to go to the portal.

Well he had 6 others offers out of the portal and we got him so that’s a win. You seem like you’d be an absolute blast to hang with. I bet you have lots of friends being so fu king miserable

I saw that he'd been hurt a few times, but had started a bunch including as a frosh, I believe.

UM has done very well with the Portal in recent years. It looks like they did well this year too.

Even tho there is no Portal period in the spring this year, I assume players can still transfer at the end of the school year. They aren't obligated to play year after year. Harder to get one's name out without the Portal, but easy to call Montana and easy to put something out on Facebook and in a tweet. Is this right?

His best season was his sophomore season where he played in 11 games and was all conference. He played in 7 games his junior season. I couldn’t find anything about him being injured this past season but it wouldn’t be surprising. Offensive lineman do tend to get injured a lot due to high contact.
