There are always spots.
Few things
1- We’re recruiting despite currently having no spots
2- Looks like trying to re-instill the AU connection
3- Is a PG

I think you answered your own question.why would you recruit knowing you have no spots to offer unless coaches know players are not returning.
Yeah, just curious who it might be? Jedkins and Chase Henderson seem to be content with limited roles. I’d be surprised to see either leave. All 3 incoming freshman signed a letter of intent. There are always spots.
Well good thing we're not recruiting you cause you act like operating budget is the be all end all for recruiting a kid when I would think most kids could give two shits what the schools operating budget is. And IDK how you know that Cal Baptist and Chattanooga have more NIL than we do, but it wouldn't surprise me if you actually don't know that and you're just assuming. I could maybe see Cal Baptist having more NIL than us (even if they've hardly had any success at hoops) but there is no way Chattanooga has more NIL money than us. Zero chance of that when their AD in an article last year said they couldn't get anyone to fork up money for them for NIL.You might be surprised Cal Baptist and Chatt have a better operating budget and NIL than UM.
I think Ryan Looney is a very good coach. Look at his success before Idaho State and his Idaho State teams play really hard. But I believe that Pocatello is the toughest place to recruit to and retain players in the Big Sky.Idaho State's Gus Etchison into the portal. He completely ripped the Griz and the cats to shreds during the second half of conference play. Tough loss for them.
Not disagreeing with you that it is one we can win but I thought I should chime in that my friend knows someone who transferred to Cal Baptist from Utah to finish his college basketball career and they are a mid major program on the rise. Their first NCAA tournament game was yesterday and they almost beat the Kansas Jayhawks.Ya and by now I'm sure Decuire has a pretty good idea of who's staying and who's going. You make room. We're in desperate need of a PG. His other offers are Cal Baptist, Chattanooga, and Bryant. That's a recruiting battle we can win!
Ya and our Guard play left a lot to be desired this year. We scrimmaged Saint Martens last year so they’ve probably seen this kid up close and he averaged 18ppg in the loaded GNAC. I think he’d help a lot!Yet another guard offer.
Pretty sure that wasn't meant to be a negative to the young man and more a displeasure with TD and his recruiting philosophy overall.Ya and our Guard play left a lot to be desired this year. And I get the frustration with recruiting so many Guards but given that our Guard play wasn’t worth a shit this year, I’m pointing out that I have no issue with TD going after a few of them.Pretty sure that wasn't meant to be a negative to the young man and more a displeasure with TD and his recruiting overall.
I get it, 15 guards is the path to a championship. And I get the frustration with recruiting so many Guards but given that our Guard play wasn’t worth a shit this year, I’m pointing out that I have no issue with TD going after a few of them.
There won’t be 15 guards. They’re likely gonna kick a few of them to the curb.I get it, 15 guards is the path to a championship.
Sarcasm sure isn't lost on you. There won’t be 15 guards. They’re likely gonna kick a few of them to the curb.
I guess Cal Baptist are "on the rise" since almost nobody (including me) had ever heard of them until yesterday, but that's the benefit of making the tourney. They have/had 7 seniors or grads this year including the incredible guard who was their whole team, so they are gonna have to get some new recruits to keep rising. Not disagreeing with you that it is one we can win but I thought I should chime in that my friend knows someone who transferred to Cal Baptist from Utah to finish his college basketball career and they are a mid major program on the rise. I'm tired of going after guards all the time. Is it asking to much to pursue and offer a handful of paint protectors and rebounding bigs?Pretty sure that wasn't meant to be a negative to the young man and more a displeasure with TD and his recruiting philosophy overall.
Anyone that hasn't heard of Cal Baptist yet isn't paying attention.I guess Cal Baptist are "on the rise" since almost nobody (including me) had ever heard of them until yesterday, but that's the benefit of making the tourney.
