LadyGriz 2025 WBB Transfer Portal

Looking at the Lady Griz roster next season (scholarship players):
PG: Mack Konig, Macy Donarski
SG: Aby Shubert, Draya Wacker
SF: Adria Lincoln, Rae Ehrman
PF: Avery Waddington, Maggie Hutka
C: Izzi Zingaro, Alex Pirog
Walk-ons: Lauren Dick, Chloe Larsen

With the graduation of Bartsch, McCliment-Call, and Bruno, the midseason departure of Kavanah Lene, and the arrival of Rae Ehrman, the Harris and the Lady Griz have a lot of room to add pieces in the transfer portal. As of today, no players from the Big Sky are in the portal.

Not portal, but LG have offered Kennedy Gillette from CSI. 1st team all region 18, 2 yr starter for CSI. Could provide depth at the wing or stretch 4 much like Waddington. Solid rebounder and shooter. Will be interesting to see how the new staff looks at JUCOs on west coast.

Especially Region 18 with CSI, Salt Lake, North Idaho, Snow and USUE. Usually 5-10 players from this conference go D1 every yr..low to mid major. CSI has sent kids to Colorado St and Utah State last yr. Salt Lake has had and does have a lot of talent on their roster as well.

I wish they would offer the Stoker Girl from CSI great kid great athlete. She led our highschool to 3 state championships, led the state in scoring for two years, also great softball player holds the all time home run record for the state of Nevada. Oh yeah and she grew up across the street so I’m a big fan.

An interesting concept:..recruiting the Junior College level; a lot of good players at that game level. #5 @:

Kennedy Gillette 6'0" G/SF:

At least, I hope so. It'd be difficult right now, I would think, on the recruiting trail for the [Classof2025], but there may be some hidden gems, somewhere. Probably be open to another portal or two transfers, I would think, at this stage of the game.

This is peak JUCO recruiting season. National Tourney just about to start. Some schools value JUCO some don't, but Region 18 has talent. National tourney is also in Casper, WY of all places, so hitting that up would be smart move for any BSC team in our opinion.

At this point if you are a HS kid with any offer, at any level, you better consider accepting it. Because when that portal door opens, those offers may not be offers any longer. JUCO kids better think the same way. You get an offer you better really consider taking that offer.

Whether she'll be a redshirt junior next season or not remains to be seen. Surely she would have to apply for a waiver if she wants that extra year.

Kind of similar-type situation that Kai Johnson on the men's team is dealing with.

Also, saw this on my Instagram feed today:
She'd be a really nice fit - seems like the type of big that Harris would be after considering he wants to run a 5 out offense. I assume a lot of the Big Sky/Mountain West will be interested.

Outside of Morales from Portland State transferring to MSU last year, I wouldn't think there'd be many within the Big Sky Conf. transferring to another BSC team. More than likely to another conference allowing access to play on the main stage (the NCAA Tournament), that is to say. Why would leading scorers on the teams that they perhaps are leaving do so otherwise? Can't be for playing time for they already had that.

So, I wouldn't expect someone entering the 'Portal' transferring into the UofM program. Be nice, though. More than likely, like Macey Huard to Oklahoma State or something like that. The 'Big Name' schools with their NIL, in other words.

With a possible three openings on the roster the LG would possibly need another young post player that has three to four years eligibility left; at least two, I would think, with two senior post players on the roster in Zingaro and Pirog, who is more of a PF (4) type; at least that's where I see her strength is at.
