2025 Transfer Thread/ Portal Offers-- (31) Transfers to UM

The Griz have never looked for 20 players a year in Portal. What are you talking about? The Griz don’t have 20 extra scholarships a year. 65 decided 5? Portal guys probably don’t come for partials.
You can apologize and admit you were wrong any time you want. But I won't hold my breath. You'll just double down and lie again. Believe what I say not your lying eyes right?

Is hoops still on suspension haven’t heard from him in awhile. And to clarify, the portal or juco route it doesn’t matter the path, at the end of the day it’s all the same, just looking to add players.

I don’t know if it means anything and I know it says he signed but those letters are now non binding but West Florida CB transfer Zach Johnson took all of his Griz stuff down on Instagram and X

Well that’s not the worst guy we could’ve lost. Thought that seemed like and odd add any way with a kid coming across the country from a program that I don’t believe we have any connections to at all.

I said 20 transfers were coming. I got totally roasted on here especially from PR. He said there would be 5.
No you didn't, you implied that we look for 20 transfers every year because our staff can't develop talent, which you got roasted for because we don't, this year notwithstanding (and if you can't see why this year might be different, it's just more evidence that we shouldn't take your insights seriously).

That is not what I said. I said that this year Hauck would be looking for 20 transfers and considering how long he's been here that's not ideal. I don't like the guy but I'm smart enough to know the quality of the recruiting he has done in the past. But I do think he's a fish out of water when it comes to bringing in an orphanage of upper classmen players every year. He's got a ton of talent coming in this year. But we'll see if that translates to wins on the field.

I don't want to get in some stupid pedantic argument, but if you were referring to just this year, then you should've worded this differently:
If you're looking for over twenty players a year in the portal you're not developing very many HS players.
It sounds like you're implying it happens a lot, or even has happened before (it hasn't).

Also, and this is the 2nd time I'm pointing this out to you, but he doesn't bring in "an orphanage of upper classmen players every year". Only 1 of our 5 transfers in 2023 were upper classmen. Only 4 of the 18 this season are upper classmen. You're still pushing a narrative that isn't true.

And as HHB pointed out earlier in this thread, we are replacing around 35 guys, and the majority of those guys were in the 2-deep. How many transfers is too many for a situation like that?

That should end it
