Fife proved he was not the better qb for a number of reasons. Lack of Leadership probably the biggest, inability to take care of the ball 2nd, and his lack of being a real running threat 3rd. Against a few real terrible defenses he made himself look good... which is probably a 4th reason bobby didn't like him. Haha. World beater against ewu, critical end zone interception against Davis, stupid fumble against nau, and the tenn st debacle. Did not play well in any big games. Not something bobby would overlook, I'd assume.

He is an excellent returner and the he could be a great guy in the slot plus the possibility of gadget plays is intriguing.Interesting! The fact that he's using the Waffle House mantra makes me believe he wants to come here. What would he come here for though? Eastern had him at QB, but they mainly ran him. He never really threw the ball. Plus he's only 5'9 which is really small for a QB. He's a hell of a kick returner though so I'm sure that's main factor Bobby sees in him, but I wonder if we would put him at WR? Interested to see how this would shake out

They definitely see him as most beneficial in the return game. That would be why they bring him in. He looks very similar to Drew Deck and I would agree he plays in the slot. They should cook up some stuff for him at QB as well and just be our running QB cause I'm still not sold on Ah Yat's running ability. Wortham would add an extra wrinkle in the offense.
He played as well or better than fife in all the games he played in. Mo state, west carolina (tough to say they were hug games, but ended up being huge wins) he played exceptionally well in.
Guys let’s move this convo/debate elsewhere and keep this to signed and potential transfer recruits.
Played great in 1st half against UND. 2nd half hardly got any offensive plays because they controlled clock.
Definitely, would be a nice pick up for us.
They were able to run the clock because he couldn't manage a first down.

6-7 minute drives that just ran over the defense. A couple huge drops. 20-28 but 5 sacks. Fife was 1-3 also sacked once. That game was lost up front.

I am glad I was able to stimulate some conversation. Hanging out for an opportunity was getting darn boring. I am not likes hoops who thinks he sees an opening to ponce like a dog on a piece of meat. I have no idea who we will sign. We can speculate all we want but at the end none of it matters until the signature is on the paper. We should see some things shake out soon before the next semester starts.

Ah Yat will get better. Natural progression!! For example, mthoops didn’t always suck at life this bad, he had to progress to get to this point! Always room to grow with practice.
