Without Alex Gubner, the lack of emphasis of some dogs up front is glaring. Year after year. Take a strong watch of the NDSU vs SDSU game. You will see a clear emphasis of building strength up front, both sides of the ball. You’ll notice these teams are in it at the end of the year….every year. And the Griz can’t hang. What do I know?
It truly is the most wonderful and humorous time of the year. Not only holiday season but pre-pre-pre Griz all american season. While I don't mean to pick on anybody the quoted post above is a good illustration. Stud corner? Just think about that. Didn't get snapped up immediatly by FBS as stud corners would. Hell, his former coach doesn't seem to want him in New Mexico. So we picked up an FCS corner from Idaho. Time will tell whether he can cover or get torched and that time will be next season if he sees the field.

They waste their effort trying to recruit marginal QB's instead of making it a top priority to recruit lineman. I remember Bobby saying that it was hard to recruit good lineman. Maybe it was just another excuse for him not working hard enough and getting our asses handed to us because of it.

I think that this should be an emphasis 2-3 guys a year. Whether that comes from the portal or high school developmental dudes. 0 DL hogs in this signing class and none thus far via the portal. We got to start throwing some numbers at this! I applaud doing it on the offensive line this year.
for our d line this offseason.Jesus he’s a big dude! I hope our 6’1 QB can see over him. Midwest guy though from Kansas. Perhaps Pawlak has a pipeline to guys like this. Also isn’t Butler the same juco we got Dalton Sneed from?

We have not done well in this regard for all the off-seasons under Bobby.
