2025 Transfer Thread/ Portal Offers-- (31) Transfers to UM

Yeah, because those are the only things a recruit considers.
Yeah, they don't consider things like programs and such. My son was recruited, back in 2009, by MSU (Bobby either didn't want him or thought he didn't have a chance) CSU, WSU, Va Tech, BC, Nevada, Idaho, EWU. He wasn't interested in any of them. He ended up going to UConn to play because they had a pre-dental/Dental school. He wanted to be a dentist. As good as he was once upon a time, he was realistic enough to know that he would never play in the NFL and had zero interest in the CFL. So UConn and Dentist it was. Lol Life is interesting. He ended up gettin injured his sophomore year, enlisted in the Reserves so he could continue going to College, got deployed, ended up going active duty and is now a Conductor for BNSF.

My point is, there are other reasons to go to a school. I agree that facilities are important, but they are not the only thing a recruit considers.

Not a diamond in the rough at all…..kid has been a two time All-American at Bethel. I have seen him play multiple times and it was clear that he was playing at the wrong level….6’3ā€ 215 and runs a 4.4 16 INTs and 6 of which he took back for TDs…..also returned kicks and punts and played offense. He would have an immediate impact for our defense if we get him.
ROFLMAO with the DI offers he has? He is NOT going to Montana.

UIW is a QB factory. Cam Ward, Lindsey Scott Jr, Zach Calzada, and now Gevani McCoy. At some point they gotta figure out the defense though. That's what's holding them back from becoming a contender. The great QB play will always be enough to win them the Southland, but they'll likely never get past the quarters if they don't figure out the defense.

I understand the school not being able to announce and I probably did a poor job acknowledging that. My point is that I can't imagine being the young recruiter social media hype man amongst this staff of grumpy old dinosaur's. I also find it hard to believe that so many Montana commits fail to announce on their social media pages without some pressure from this staff who likes to keep everything so hush hush from the media and the fans. Maybe I'm just asking for to much and am impatient. Look forward to finding out who these new players are at some point and hope it's not when they release the new roster way later than every other program in the country.
