Free country. Amazing when people whine about other political parties and someone’s opinion. Hey, good news folks. Righties should be happy since their guy is in and they control the house and senate. Otherwise known as the trifecta. Celebrate, quit bitching and maybe keep it to football. The guy played the game and was on the team. I think he earned the right to speak his mind. He is just saying the quiet things out loud. Sorry it hurts everyone’s feelers.

This. Schmidt makes it political and about himself every chance he gets. The guy is an annoying, self important, attention-whore. No matter what side of the isle you're on, Republican-Democrat or Cat-Griz hes annoying. I wish he would shut up and go away. But that's just my opinion and he has the right to say whatever he wants and have his opinion as well. I do wish GFP would move away from him but they seem to align with him on many levels and it seems to be showing up more on more on the pod lately (politics). GFP needs to shut up and dribble 😆 I am a fan though. Oh and Bobcats suck.

It's why I stopped listening. Politics should just not be brought up in sports podcasts.

I love GFP but they can't help themselves from making not so subtle political jabs. It's pretty lame. (I think they actually think they are being clever and subtle). I still listen and enjoy the pod but it is annoying.

Schmidt leads the nation on being wrong on a lot of things. Actually blows my mind. So I actually have zero idea if he's right on this, but don't really care. It'd be tough to support the type of kid that would do this sort of thing, and tough to support a kid that would listen to that bs, from a booster standpoint. So, good riddance. #GOGRIZ

I know Schmit and have have known him for years, almost decades. I like him and liked him as a player and when he was teammates at BSHS with my nephew. I haven't looked at any of this recent stuff, but I know Schmidt likes to be controversial and is certainly not always right. I would always take what he said with a large grain of salt.

Ya that definitely makes sense. But it is uncanny how totally wrong he is on many of his takes. To each their own.
More to my point though, this issue he's discussing here, while it's frustrating, these are not the type of dudes that are good for teams anyway, so if it's true, I'm glad they're gone. And if they have persuasion w a potential recruit in that regard, maybe better they aren't here either.
