2025 Transfer Thread/ Portal Offers-- (31) Transfers to UM

He'd be a great get especially as a Transfer QB, good chsnce to be the starter as well
The fact that we offered him shows that the staff is not totally sold on automatically making Ah Yat QB1 next year. Visperas is not coming here for his final year to sit behind Ah Yat. I'd love to here the recruiting pitch and if they basically told him if you come here, you're the guy. That would be refreshing if that were the case.

Alas - there are a lot more football idiots out there that keep the narrative going that FCS is D2.
Because it is. The G5's are the real FCS now. Anything left in the FCS now are either jump ups from the old D2, making it D2, or the hangers on who are too poor or trash programs to make the jump to a G5 conference.

You take offense because you're a fan of a jumped up D2 team that used to once upon a time actually be D1, before joining the 1AA ranks. Because why? They sucked and were too poor to make the jump.

That's the problem with UM and a portion of the fanatical of fans, or just flat ignorant ones. They truly believe this team and school is something it's not. We don't hold a candle to NDSU or SDSU or 13 other FCS teams right now.

I don't care what argument you bring to the table UM moves up or dies in the new D2 division that is going to spring from the conference realignments.

Yeah big deal NDSU gave Colorado a run for their money... but lost. Once in a while a team doesn't pay attention or looks past an FCS team until they either lose ala Washington to Montana or New Mexico to State.

Regardless, those G5 teams are all getting 105 scholarships, shares of bigger pies, and to say Montana isn't in a decent TV market is deluded. In today's world, thanks to streaming, we are not stuck in ONE market. I watched every single Griz game this year from Ohio.

So please continue with the false notion that Montana 1) can't compete with the other G5's --they can 2) Montana doesn't have a TV market because they do. Tell that to the 200 or so people who pack into Torrey Pines Pub aka Grizzlyville, in Las Vegas. There are thousands if not hundreds of thousands who watch the games on via another service than stupid CBS, NBC, ABC, or Fox Sports. and There is a group of us here in Huntington that get together at the VFW to watch games as well and 3) whether you choose to acknowledge the evolution of the new face of college football, Montana is about to be left out due to Metathesiophobes.

Right now, UM would be lucky to make the chipper at the D2 level. Heck They almost lost to Ferris state, and Ferris State is every bit as good a D2 team as UM.

Further, we claim we are the Mecca of FCS football. No we are not. Our facilities are becoming outdated, There is no more room to really expand the Stadium anymore, The indoor practice facility is nice, but nothing compared to some JUCOs.

If you stay in Montana and UM/MSU/Carroll etc. are your benchmarks then you are just as much a dinosaur as the coaching at UM. Get out and visit other programs and their facilities. You'll find out in a New York minute why people don't take UM serious anymore, to include the "facilities.

I can't really call myself a fanatic anymore. Once upon a time I was horrible, now I see it for what it is. We are stuck in a capsule up there and that's the best you get. So get used to losing more and more. That program is never going to be more than D2 and that's a real fact even if it doesn't say it on paper.

Would show they learned from their mistakes of this past season
