2025 Transfer Thread/ Portal Offers-- (31) Transfers to UM

We have a good young QB with a bright future. You did want entire Griz staff fired after NAU game last year correct? So that being said would you agree you might have a tendency to overreact and not see big long term picture?
No. They caught lightning in a bottle with Clif. THAT guy ain’t on this squad.

will try to keep up with that good idea
Payton—could you please clear one of your basement walls and put name tags of every player in Division One and Two that has entered the portal and with string connect them to the program they are leaving? Then with red string to indicate each player that has a UM offer? Just take a picture and post it every hour or so to keep us updated 👍

I guess we better start this one as there will probably be a lot of movement in and out

Transfer to Montana

Payton, thanks for doing this. Huge service.

No shot. Dude wasn’t a great passer in hs but was a very tough runner. I don’t think he could play offense for gris but who knows.
Griz til I die said:
He did have some huge numbers at Whitefish. Kinda crazy his current school never gave him a shot at QB. Maybe they're gonna try him at QB here?

I've watched most of the Div II playoffs, Minnesota State is in the final four, and their QB is very good.
Started watching them 'cause they're a real underdog, away warriors, beat #4, #1 and the team that beat #2
on their side of the bracket on the road to the semi finals. They are now going up against the overall #1 seed.

Not the same team. Minnesota State Mankato is the playoff team you mentioned not Minnesota State Moorhead.

Those 100s and 100s of people don't make up the vast majority of the country or casual CFB fans. It's unfortunate but it's a fact FCS is not as big as we think or want it to be
I hear this argument from people, especially when it comes to the "should we move up" conversation that is endless. What I don't understand, and never get a real answer to, is why does it matter what other people think? What value should I place on what casual CFB fans think of the FCS? It is weird. It would be like telling me that someone in Alabama doesn't like the way we dress here in Montana. I just don't really care about the opinion of people I don't know and will never meet.

Always asked the same thing Elrod. I guess I just don't care. I love the Big Sky and I love the playoff system. It's not like I think we'd go beat Georgia or anything. And when I talk to people around the country about Montana State, and they have no idea what I'm talking about; I couldn't care less. It doesn't change my love for the team, or my appreciation for FCS football.

All that said, I'd be fine moving up too, if they changed their structure and fixed the playoffs that is. Though it won't matter. We still wouldn't be on the level of the SEC or Big10 and I still wouldn't care.

I get people have their reasons for wanting to move up. And I don't care enough to try and change minds. But people around the country not caring about a team I like wouldn't be a reason for me.

@ElrodGrizzly - for me personally, I don't care who knows / who doesn't. Fans should be able to fan however they want. The only point that I try to make is that it isn't nearly as popular as some folks think it is...which in the end doesn't really matter either. 😅
