2025 Transfer Thread/ Portal Offers-- (31) Transfers to UM

Here’s a list of “cast offs” playing for your cats.
Julius Davis
Brendan Hall
Dylan Rollins
Lonyetta Alexander
Dru Polidore
Jon Johnson
Ty McCullouch
Rohan Jones
Ryan King
Garrett Walchli
JT Reed
Cole Sain
Alec Eckert

Would you consider Zac Crews a cast off or an outcast?
Accurate but the difference is nearly all of these guys came to MSU as underclassmen and we continue to develop them. Many gris guys come in as upperclassmen where staff doesn’t have to do as much.

I don't know if this is accurate, and I assume it isn't very accurate, by why should anyone care?

I wonder how many defensive players think that the coaches "developed" them, or opposed to helped them? And positions like running backs? My view is that a lot of players mostly develop themselves. By getting older/maturing, lifting and working on speed, working hard in practice, getting more and more experience in games, etc. Yes, of course, coaches coach, guide and help too.

Perhaps some of you who never played the game, could teach us about this development thing.

Old news. Another thread indicates he played 4 games to redshirt and preserve eligibility. You should really spend some time reviewing posts rather than bumbling incoherently in your own.

Has he texted you yet?
What I said was taken right out of the article that I posted. He was twice first team all-conference. When asked by a poster about this season with only 4 games, I said in "prior years". I didn't say he was all-conference in 2024. Absolutely correct. You should learn to read and comprehend. You probably didn't even read the article I posted. I like when some of you make yourself look like the idiots you are, by trying to hard to comment on something I said that is absolutely true.

This is what I posted and said: "He looks like a terrific player. 2 time all conference. Big production." Do you see the reference under the photo to all-conference linebacker?

Elijawah Tolbert, the Eastern Illinois Panthers’ leading tackler through four games, was not in uniform during Saturday’s EIU-Lindenwood game.

Very few of those players were portal upper classmen.
When you defined portal players as cast offs, there was no qualifier regarding class status impacting the quality of the cast offs.
BTW, over 57% of your cat cast offs (Davis, Alexander, Hall, Jones, Johnson, McCullouch, King, Walchli) came in as juniors or seniors, which by definition would make them portal upperclassmen.
I certainly hope the stress engineers you hire don’t consider a failure rate of 57% as a few.

The Cat posters are good at lying. Thx.

I saw the below copied post on Twitter. Grass isn't always greener, but on flipside you would think we could get a few at a couple key positions with that many still waiting as the reduced roster numbers has had an apparent impact on destination choices. Or are those still remaining just not worth a crap or not going FCS and still shopping FBS only????

According to The Athletic, 1,135 FCS scholarship players have entered the transfer portal, and 213 have signed so far. A total of 1,940 Football Bowl Subdivision scholarship players have entered the portal, and 775 had already signed with a new school by Sunday evening.

This was a dude that UM was really trying to get... He went to EWU and is now in the portal. I don't know if the Griz RB room has room for a Tuna but...

Dude has great film playing big sky ball. How many scholarships do we have left to offer? Can’t take ‘em with ya & and if we aren’t going to sign any DLineman, let’s get an offer out there.
