An interesting year awaits Cody Hawkins and the Bengals. Last year they were 5-7 and I felt they were on the verge of turning the corner. Let’s dive in!
August 30 @ Southern Utah - L. This feels like a 50-50 game. ISU won this game last year in Poky. SUU was the first team to miss the playoffs last year. FCS pundits are saying the T-Birds are a sneaky team this year. I’ll give SUU the slight edge at home but if ISU wants to prove they’re a top half of the league team, then they should win this game.
September 6 @ New Mexico - L. Taking on Jason Eck and the boys in ABQ. Idk what kind of team the Lobos are gonna have, but I feel like enough upper echelon Idaho players transferred there that they should win this game.
September 13 @ UNLV. First year with Dan Mullen at the helm of the Rebels. They’ve really elevated their program to CFP contender after the abysmal far cry they once were. Can Mullen keep it going? I tend to think he can. Rebs roll!
September 20 vs. Lincoln - W. Ahh the annual Big Sky vs Lincoln game. I believe this is the 4th year in a row Lincoln has played someone in the Big Sky, but this is not ISU’s fault as they were supposed to play Central Arkansas, but they backed out and it left ISU scrambling. ISU rolls at home!
September 27 @ Northern Colorado - W. Nice little two game win streak. They should win this game. I’d be surprised if they didn’t.
October 4 vs. Montana - L. Here’s where things start to ramp up. We traditionally have not played well in Poky but there’s zero excuse for us to not win this game by double digits, and I believe we will.
October 11 @ Montana State - L. Tough drawing the Montana schools back to back weeks. Cats roll at home.

October 25 vs. Northern Arizona - L. Trap game for NAU? Kinda feels like it. I’ll give the Jacks the benefit of the doubt though.
November 1 @ UC Davis - L. Oof what a tough 4 game stretch against teams that all made the playoffs last year.
November 8 vs. Cal Poly - W. ISU finally gets off the skid at home. Close game but they get it done.
November 15 vs. Weber State - W. I remember a time where Weber owned ISU, and now ISU is stealing their coaches. They won down in Ogden and they win even bigger at home this year.
November 22 @ Idaho - L. Hope they enjoyed home wins cause they won’t win this one.

I got ISU at 4-8. They can definitely get to 5-7 if they beat SUU week 1. That’ll be an interesting game. Can they pick off NAU at home to get to 6-6? Maybe, but that feels like their ceiling. That’s my prediction. Thoughts????
