Okay, with a week of games under my belt, and a weekend of nothing but football for what seemed like 72 hours straight, I shall make my bold (not so bold) predictions for this week.

FCS Top 25 week 2 Schedule
1 North Dakota State will beat Tennessee State
2 South Dakota State will crush #3 Kittens
3 Kittens will be exposed and crushed by #2 South Dakota State who will drink from kitty cat skulls
4 South Dakota will handle Lamar
5 Tarleton State will easily beat Miss Valley State
6 Montana better beat Central Washington by at least 28-35 points.
7 Illinois State will beat Morehead
8 UC Davis could this be an upset at FBS Washington? Survey says no. UDub by 17
9 Rhode Island easy win at Stony Brook
10 Idaho will beat St. Thomas-Minn bad.
11 Lehigh wins versus Sacred Heart
12 Incarnate Word OFF
13 Villanova will beat Colgate
14 Southern Illinois will NOT even come within 21 points of FBS Purdue

I agree with all these except Jackson State and NAU. I honestly do not know anything about Jackson besides they are HBCU and Southern Miss is FBS. NAU looks solid I think they will compete with Montana and possibly Davis for the Big Sky and should win over Utah Tech easily.

ND should be ranked. ND and Idaho played well. MSU has a good QB. We need to be very good if we are gonna be a contender. After week one play there could be some serious competition for the Griz.

Trade ya upsets.
I don't see NAU losing to Utah Tech, the game against Davis was like a dream and then they woke up.
SUU drops to San Diego and makes Cal Poly feel even better.

My one add, the game I'm heading to, sitting on my layover at Sky Harbor right now - Hawaii -6.5 24, Sam Houston State 23. Bearkats cover the spread but lose the ball game.

I don't understand some of these prognostications. Southern Utah, who beat Idaho State by three scores, is going to somehow lose to San Diego, who couldn't even beat Cal Poly at home? I don't see the logic in this.

Ain't football great! Just an upset, nothing more. It doesn't elevate the status of Cal Poly if it ends up happening, but it would get everyone here talking that they are more than they thought. This is why I don't put money on anything though, you just can't be for sure who will win and if you could, no one would watch.

Jackson State is in Mississippi. They Won the HBCU Natty Celebration Bowl last year. They have been in the FCS since it was established as the 1AA in 1978. It's where Sweetness played, and was Primes, college coaching debut school before going to Colorado. If I remember right, they have the biggest stadium capacity in the FCS at 60K. It was also the biggest stadium in Mississippi, believe it or not, Until Ole Miss's new stadium was finished in 2016. My friend's son, Marvin Landy is a TE there.

Hope TSU beats NDSU but not holding my breath on that one.
Suspect that UND will be in the top 25 this next week. I really hope that Portland State can pull off some type of miracle but I highly doubt it

The miracle would be if PSU can finally score a point. Starting the season being shut out twice is mind blowing.

Purdue was hot garbage last year.. They did beat Ball St 31-0 this year but, Ball St is hot garbage too.. I could see SIU beating them by 2 ads. I also think Sac will at least be in the game vs Nevada, very well could win it by a fg or td.

Yeah, I was thinking they look pretty good, as well. Should probably be ranked higher. Conversely, was also watching Lehigh-Sacred Heart and their comedy of errors/poor play and Lehigh definitely doesn't look like a #13 ranked team at home.

But back to Tennessee Tech...glad to see ol' Coca-Cola (Visperas) finally find a place where he can flourish. Maybe Wortham will have a similar jump.

Minnesota is not even an elite Big Ten team, like Oregon, OSU, Michigan, and Penn State. That goes to show the gap between the FBS Power 2 conferences and the FCS and why the scats performance against Oregon was not as bad as most people thought/think.

BTW: Minnesota is up 66-0 with only 2 first downs by Northwestern State.
