MBBALL 2025 Big Sky Conference Transfer Tracker

Georgetown big man Drew Fielder who’s from Boise and we offered out of high school, has committed to USC. I believe all of our big man targets that we had on the board here are now all committed somewhere. So unless there’s guys out there that we don’t know about (which is likely) then it would appear we’re not really in the market.

Jaden Goodall (RS FR SG) from Cal has entered the portal. He's a guy we offered in HS (2022) and Verbal Committs lists him as an offer on the Montana page. I do wonder if that is a residual from his earlier offer and not current. Followed by Broome, Flores and Cobb. He's a former 4 star recruit and walked on at Cal.

Idaho State is the clear leader heading into the final stretch for team most gutted by the portal. Northern Arizona had been the leader, but ISU losing Darling probably carries them to the top of the list. Sacramento State gets credit for sheer numeracy, but have attenuated some of their losses with the Bibby bump.

Total Losses:
1. Sacramento State- 10
2. Northern Arizona- 8
3. Idaho State- 8
4. Idaho and Weber State-6
6. Montana State and Eastern Washington-5
8. Northern Colorado-4
9. Montana and Portland State-3

All Conference Players Lost:
Darling (ISU)- MVP/Newcomer/1st Team
Towt (NAU)- 2nd Team and Defensive Team
Reynolds (UNC) -1st Team
Threat (WSU)-1st Team
Moore (UM)-2nd Team
Jake O'Neill (ISU)-HM and Defensive Team
Brandon Walker (MSU)-HM

Great add by the Griz. I wondered if they might have been in on a handful of Colorado or Colorado State transfers. The other I thought they might have some interest in was Jayden Steppe from Colorado State who is from Oregon and the staff had offered while he was in HS.

I don't think the door is closed on Moore returning, Montana had a clear need for PG depth in the portal and there is still roster space. Losing both Whitney and potentially Johnson (the longer it lurches on without word as to the extra year application I think the chances decrease) made this a logical area of upgrade. They had just Henderson as a true PG on the roster. The rest (Williams primarily) are all better off ball players.

And Kai as well.
I tend to agree.

Right now Montana has:
Point Guards: Henderson, Anderson Jr.
Shooting Guards: Williams, Dick, Moxon (TBD)
Wings/Swing: Thompson, Pridgen, Jedkins
Posts: Foy, Sawyer, Betts, Aguino, Bradtke

If I were to read the tea leaves (Hansen suggested that Montana might have had the Anderson verbal for a week or so), I think there are a couple of players Montana is still in on that might suggest they have gotten some clarity from either Johnson or Moore or both. My guess they are still in the market for a shooter/3 and D guy (Battle from Coast Carolina, Tingler from Eastern Michigan, or a pipe dream Steppe from Colorado State) as they really don't have a ready made answer on the roster for the role that Patterson filled last year.

Anderson won’t be a PG
