Alright, time for another prediction! This time we’re doing Cal Poly. I was gonna post this tomorrow but decided to do it today because tomorrow I’m gonna do my 23-24 Griz Athletics grades.
Cal Poly is the only Big Sky team that will not play a full 12 game schedule this fall. They were completely inept when it came to scheduling non conference games. Through February, the only game they had scheduled was Stanford. WOU and USD were really adds and they failed to find a 4th game. Couple that with what’s been a tough offseason for the Stangs and things are not looking good. Let’s dive in!
August 31 @ San Diego- W. I will not be surprised in the least bit if they lose this game, but for now I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. USD has done a great job in the portal, and I like their new head coach. For now though, I’ll say Cal Poly squeaks out a close one.
September 7 @ Stanford-L. The Stangs will be completely outclassed in this one.
September 14 vs. Western Oregon-W. Kudos to the Wolves scheduling 2 Big Sky teams this year (Idaho State). As far as I know though, I don’t think they have very good Football teams. The stangs should be fine in this one.

September 28 @ Northern Colorado-L. This is a big game. Whoever loses this one is probably gonna finish in last place in the conference. This may surprise some people, but I think UNC wins this game. At least UNC appears to be on an upward trajectory. Poly just seems to be stuck in neutral.
October 5 vs. Idaho State-L. I actually think ISU is gonna be decent this year and win some games. This will be close but I got ISU taking it.
October 12 @ UC Davis-L. Here’s where things get tough. They better find a way to win the above 2 games cause this stretch is gonna suck. They have no shot against Davis. This will be over quick.
October 19 @ Idaho- L. Ya this one will be over quick.

November 2 vs. Montana- L. I’m gonna try and go to this game. I’ve never been to SLO, but I’ve heard it’s awesome. Griz should have this one wrapped up in the first half.
November 9 vs. Northern Arizona- L. I’m not sure what to expect from NAU this year, but I’d be shocked if they lost this one.
November 16 vs. Sacramento State- L. 3 home games in a row, that’s pretty nice. Too bad Poly doesn’t have a shot in this one.
November 23 @ Weber State- L. By this time I think they’re just gonna be ready to call it a year.

I got Cal Poly going 2-9. I think the best they could do is 4-7 but right now I just don’t see it. UNC is their best shot but I don’t think they’re gonna win that game. That’s my prediction thoughts???
