MBBALL 2024-25 Griz Basketball Schedule Tracker

Really, really tough schedule for the Lady Griz:
Wow! Coach Holsinger is really challenging the girls! A few takeaways:

The Lady Griz ended up settling for 11 games in non-conference. That's not surprising considering the challenges they went through getting games.

The Lady Griz will play 3 Big 10 teams, highlighted by a home game against Washington. I believe Minnesota was a WNIT participant last year. Don't know much about Michigan State.

5 home games, 4 road games, 2 neutral site games

They should be well prepared for conference play. Challenging road ahead!

Breakdown by conference:
Big Ten: 3
Summit League: 3
Non-D1: 2
American: 1
Big West: 1
WCC: 1

Well, Southeastern University may not be Division I but they are NAIA and they have a pretty tenuous schedule themselves. For instance, three games in three days: 08 Nov versus Montana Tech, 09 Nov versus Montana Western and then 10 Nov versus the LG. Deeply appreciate that they were gracious enough to allow another game to be played in the State of Montana on their own account in order for us to have the allotted eleven games for non-conference scheduling that's allowed by the NCAA.

Evergreen State College is also NAIA.
Sure glad to have a full schedule.

I was wondering how they landed on Southeastern. Good for them taking a game against the Lady Griz! That's similar to how the men landed on Hawaii Hilo. They were coming to Billings for MSUB's tournament and decided while they were here, they might as well add another game to their trip! Cool to see similar storylines with the Men and Women to fill out their schedules!

Now since they only have 5 home non-conference games at home, please do not schedule one of them to be a school day game. And if they do, do not have the Washington game to be the school day game. And since there is one fewer home game this year than last year, making one of the games a school day game makes the season tickets I bought more expensive.

From looking at the times the games are at, doesn't look like any game will be a school day game. But there is one home game that is TBA. So there could be a school day game and against a very good team.

West Palm Beach would be a nice place to visit but I won't be able to go there then.

I'm guessing those scrimmages are not going to happen this year. We are going to the Lady Griz brunch tomorrow. I will ask the coaches.
Asked Coach H. and his answer is the same for both Men and Lady Griz. The NCAA allows only 3 exhibition games or scrimmages vs other teams per year. And the M & S scrimmage would count as one of those. In coming years, they are hoping to have the M & S scrim again and move it around to various Montana towns. He specifically said Hamilton and Butte.

That is a cool idea.

Men's game at Oregon will tip off at 8pm on Big Ten Network which is much more readily available than PAC12 network. Men's game at #12 Tennessee will tip off at 5pm on SECN+ which I assume is good with an ESPN+ subscription, but I'll look into that. Still waiting on tip times and networks for Utah State and San Francisco, but the USF game should be on ESPN+ as that's who the WCC's contract is with. I'm hoping since Utah State is on a Monday night that we luck out and get the game on FS1 or CBSSN because that online streaming service the Mountain West uses sucks. I'll keep you all posted as more details come out.
