Germer was the o Line coach with Stitt as the hc. Germer has been with the program since 2015, and we have had an injured starting qb every year since.

So in reality 7 years he has been working with them and this year it required 3 transfers to fill out the starting lineup. Thankfully the two best came ready to play from previous schools. MSU replaced 4 starters from last year with zero seniors and kicked our ass.... so apparently it doesn't take 8 years. People making excuses for Germer and Bobby can't see the past their man crush for them and face facts......it isn't working . DOLA and RTD are a joke.

People like you don't understand o-line recruiting or play. Just spew nonsense. The o-line was good most of the time this year, with several glaring exceptions.

Stitt recruited receivers not o-lineman. Harder to develop a strong o-line without enough recruiting slots. Stitt did good job recruiting receivers.

That was true. Maybe we should bring Stitt back as a receivers coach. However, our o Line play has been lackluster since Germer joined the staff.

Here's the thing, things that were successful many years ago, aren't as successful these days. The game has evolved, so the coaches have to evolve too. And clearly ol Germer boy is stuck in the past.

And he had about the same amount of success of his recruits developing into solid contributors. If you’re happy with Bobby’s job on the O-line you should be similarly pleased with the work Stitt did in that area.

Stitt’s biggest HS “gets” all seemed to flame out (like Bobby’s). Thayne Jackson. Dallas Hart. Cody Meyer. Joe Paolina. Villanueva. Longoria. Ashton Torres. Eickmeyer. Martin. Stoner. Keintz. Some of these guys contributed a little, but most make very little noise.

He did have a couple good ones. Brandon Scott. Beaver. Like Hauck, some of his better O-linemen were converts: Cy Sirmon, Mike Ralston. Or transfers like Robert Luke.

Our o-line hasn’t gotten much better in the 5 years Stitt’s been gone. Anyone not wearing maroon-colored glasses can easily see that. It has been and continues to be the weakest link on the team.

Again I ask….who are these good young linemen? These “terrific prospects”? When do they actually become contributing linemen and starters? Or do we have to wait until they leave and go somewhere else?
