2023 O-Line

If Germer is not gone, he should be on a one-year leash and spend now until spring ball with the 4 best o-line coaches/strength and conditioning coaches in the nfl and learn what today's coaching drills and methods and blocking schemes work best at that level.

Guys been on what should be a 1 year leash for what feels like 10 years.

He's never been on one-year leash.

OK, I don’t know squat about O-Line play, coaching, grading or scouting. That’s why I’m asking a serious question about this group.
I’m curious about the egriz o-line “experts”. Just assume we don’t get a single drop-down O-lineman this off season – who are the starters for 2023?
2022 had some young players and it wasn’t a banner year for the Griz O-Line but it was actually a little better than I expected. They performed well at times and will now have another year of strength training, coaching and competition. Who do you expect to step up?
I know there is an overwhelming urge for some of you to post snarky comments about coaching and I get that but can we please just have some serious posts about this group’s potential?

At this point, anyone who believes Griz O-linemen progress year over year has completely lost their mind.

This is and has been the elephant in the room for YEARS. Current coaches cannot and do not develop the position group effectively. Period.

Better hope for 3-4 drop down d-linemen to convert.

So every successful OL we've had has been luck, and every one that didn't work out was his fault? If Mayginnes and Forbes improved, it has nothing to do with Germer?

Am I doing this right? I don't particularly like the guy as a coach, and think we should get someone else, but it seems weird how conveniently everything works out to scapegoat him here.

Where have you been? Yeah - Germer is absolutely the weak link on the staff.

For a guy who played that position one year he really did a hell of a job. He has the size and the nastiness, he was only missing the experience. Another year with him would be great!

So in reality 7 years he has been working with them and this year it required 3 transfers to fill out the starting lineup. Thankfully the two best came ready to play from previous schools. MSU replaced 4 starters from last year with zero seniors and kicked our ass.... so apparently it doesn't take 8 years. People making excuses for Germer and Bobby can't see the past their man crush for them and face facts......it isn't working . DOLA and RTD are a joke.

Stitt recruited receivers not o-lineman. Harder to develop a strong o-line without enough recruiting slots. Stitt did good job recruiting receivers.
