Three consistent takeaways:

noco needs to drop back down to DII

psu needs to drop their football program.

The GRIZ are the bsc cash cow.

PSU needs to secure a 10-15+K stadium (build or lease).

One observation, attendance has no bearing on level.

Do you argue noco deserves to be a DII program? Have you seen their record since moving up?

psu could be a regional basketball DI power if they dropped football. That would be the smart thing for a commuter school who's football team plays in a high school stadium 40 minutes from campus.

"Street of Dreams" concept - build it and they will come.

No one came when they played at PGE in the heart of downtown, blocks from campus? Why would they come now to a stadium which would need to be constructed miles away?

They could use is for multi-use team purposes; team sports - baseball, soccer, etc., and use for rental purposes - graduations, sporting events, religious revivals, political events, etc.. Portland is a larger mid-size city.

There is no room to build near the PSU campus. Hillsboro is about as close as you could get. I know people like to bag on the Hillsboro Stadium but it is better than what UCD has, from what I saw on TV. PSU suffers from being mainly a post graduate school where the majority hold under grad degrees from OSU or UO. I5 heading south on game day is nearly bumper to bumper for a couple of hours. PSU would be fine in D2 like the old Mouse Davis years.

Not my argument and record has no bearing, even to whomever makes the decision for UNC athletics.

Almost 1/20th of the entire state of Montana was at one of two football games yesterday. Unreal.

I vote they drop Football, chances are anything they build will be burned down with how bad Portland has become.

I just don't understand their method of counting. Announcer at the game said 9th straight game at capacity yet stated attendance was 1000 less than ISU, not to mention Cat etc games in the past. I was in the stadium and there were sections of rows empty on all four sides of the stadium. On Saturday there were seats open on my direct side (allowing us extra room to not be smashed I add) and in the row directly in front of us and and two rows behind. NO WAY are that many people crashing boxes, in beer garden ALL GAME LONG. These were not late comers or early leavers they NEVER CAME. I suspect they want to inflate attendance by using paid tickets to get a better standing in the nation attendance wise. I'm sure PAID attendance is near or at capacity, but not even close to butts in seats.
