I don't understand why we're recruiting linebackers so hard. I figured we'd be good with Lewis and O'Connell and Welnel that it wouldn't be an issue.

Always good to have more depth. I didn't understand this offer at the time but it makes sense now.

On his show yesterday, Colter said the Griz are probably bringing in a transfer kicker and it could be announced as early as today.

If true, it's not surprising since all the kickers are so inexperienced.

It’s Kevin Macias and he is a grad transfer from ASU. He has one year of eligibility left, I believe. From what I can tell he handled some punt duties and most kickoffs at ASU last year. I was told at 11v11 yesterday he missed both his kicks from 35 and Gilman and Capser made theirs. I wasn’t there and cannot confirm this. Not sure why he didn’t show up until a week and a half into camp when the Griz offered months ago. I have been very concerned that there is no #2 on depth behind Buschini punting. This could be to fill the void there. Just guessing though.

Pretty excited about this recruit. Good size. Seems to have good hands and moves very well for someone that tall. Get him in the weight room for a couple seasons and he might just be our next Akem!
