Sounds like he was down at a GRIZ camp this summer. Don't know anything more about him than you guys do, plays for one of the big schools around Edmonton. One of my buddies son's QB's a school up there, I will have to ask him what he knows about Taylor.

Thanks for taking this on. My RCMP contact isn’t a football fan, isn’t in the RCMP anymore & is playing golf in Florida while he looks for somewhere to spend his Canadien dollars on housing. It sounds like all this kid needs is a night @ the place where the kids go now - & he’s in the fold.

Jake Taylor is a coach's kid, which is usually a good sign. He's got a younger brother who has also played on some Football Alberta teams (up here we have provincial all-star type teams that play in the summer, often in US and International competition, I think Colten Curry played in one last year). Taylor's high school team is 4-0 and has only given up 12 points in those 4 games, which is tough in Canadian football, but might speak to the quality of the opposition. In my buddy's words, who coaches with Jake's Dad, "he's a good player". This is considered very high praise by Canadian standards! It even ranks ahead of "he's not bad".

What I think is awesome also is Nate Overbay (former Eastern player) was the first to comment on what coach Hauck wrote to recruit some Spokane guys.
