Most of these kids came into a program that was in turmoil with a patchwork coaching staff. They played in at least two different offensive systems. They've had three different strength and conditioning coaches and three different QB's in 2015. I may be mistaken but I think the QB calls the blocking schemes and pass sets at the line. If the wrong call is made it can make them look like their missing blocks. Also they played without a full back and a tight end. I applaud these young man for pushing through a lot of difficult situations to be the best they can be. Atlanta is entitled to his opinions but I think he's going to eat his words in 2016.

Which lineman is your son?

Wish I had your convictions regarding the offensive line. Love for them to prove me wrong. Perhaps with time this season, the youth movement you're noting will have some impact on that group.

Will be especially interested in the new names arriving after spring like Sanders this past season. And with the receiving group as is, am wondering if we have a true frosh crack the lineup for some playing time. Seems like there is always one somewhere.

I agree. If we have to start the same kids on the O-line as the ones who played last season, our line will not improve much. If Weyer is recovered enough to be at full strength, that will help at center. But too many fans think that experience translates into greatness. Our 2015 O-linemen were not even close to the quality that we have enjoyed here at UM, and unfortunately the passing of time doesn't make them better. They look more like Frontier Conference in ability, or perhaps Northern Colorado caliber players.... NOT Montana Grizzly caliber players! They are small, have no ability to get a push in the running game, and have slow footwork.

If some of our younger O-linemen are as good as some have stated when they were recruited, they should be able to move past 2-3 of last season's starters into the starting line-up. We should hope so, our it will be another season with no running game.

Agreed. They are still a couple years from digging out of the gragghole.

Raider, why are you one of the few on this board with a clue? You and I are both huge Griz fans, but we also understand the game of football, and deal in reality instead of hype. God, the constant hype on here gets old! When I see it on the field, I will be a believer! Until then.......

I would love to see you in a room with Todd, Reese, Luke, Weyer, Deitrich, Sprunk, Kelly, etc., and make these same comments.

Now THAT I'd pay to see.

Honestly, why do you bother?

Because it's so easy to prove him wrong. The kids and coaches who put in the effort every day to make this team better deserve some credit and some defense from his stuff from time to time as well... IMO.

Please! Your drivel "proves me wrong"? You write a bunch of meaningless B.S. about Germer being able to mold these kids into great players, like he is some sort of O-line magician! I know Chad, and we'll just leave it at that!

Was the last game against NDSU and indication of how much improvement our O-line made during the season? What did we have, 7 or 8 yards rushing in that game???   But we all know, Brint, that 6 months of time turns weak linemen into Conrad Dobler! Funny Sh*t you post, dude!

In the next few days I'll make sure to ask Chad if the name Steve Dill rings a bell.

I've got a 38-0 score against you on MB, don't make me bring my winning streak over here. It's bad enough I beat you on the road, now "at home" you're in real trouble.

But please, keep pumping out the garbage you (and only you) believe.

Posted that on MB. I'd pay $1000 to athletics to see this pussy say that in front of our coaches and OL

Haha, Growler says our OL is small... shows what he knows about the 2016 O line, where I believe that currently 5 players are at/over 300 pounds.

You should be banned for this remark. But then, we all know about the name-calling double standard, eh Brint? So, I can't have an opinion about our line without you wanting me to fight 20 year old kids? Weak sh8T dude, and yes, you should be banned for these comments.

  Good one. Fighting. I'd just like to see if you have the balls to actually say that bullshit in front of the "20 year old kids" you're slamming....

Yeah, keep dreaming fantasies. You couldn't own a father whose son plays Little Grizzly football. You're "analysis" of football should be included in a comic book.

I'll call your bluff. Line 'em up, bring your $1000 in crisp $100 bills, and I'll be glad to tell them they are the weakest O-line in the past 30 years. When do you want to do it?

How about at the Mo Club?
I hear they've got a convenient back door to run out of.

ZZZZZZZZZZZ. I'm going to go out in beautiful 76 degree Arizona and play a round of golf. Continue to obsess about me the rest of the day, but you might to do some deep breathing exercises every hour or so! It's been fun, but it's getting almost too easy!

haha, this thread is great. $1000 to athletics for you to stand up in front of Germer and the O line and tell them they're weak, soft, and the worst line in the last 30 years. Name the time and the place! I'll be there cash in hand.

I wonder if Stevie Dill is going to threaten to bring his Gun and shoot someone again,
like he did in a PM to me a few years back?

(I still have the PM)

 :shit:

If this really happens I want to live stream it and I will match the $1000 to the athletic dept.

I would love to see this but as usual it won't happen.......somebody will get "Mo Clubbed"

:coffee:

You are on, realty boy. The one condition is that you bring $1000 in cash ($100 bills only), and Alpha also brings another $1000 in cash. The comments must take place inside the Montana athletic department offices so we know the money will go to the athletic department. The money much be given to coach Germer IMMEDIATELY after I address the O-line. Since you are such an insider, I am sure you can arrange it. I'll be in Montana in early June. Let me know the date and time. Also, let the entire board know too. Should be fun.
