Hoping the Strahm reigns in the extra-cirrucular activities, despite what many here think - personal fouls are not a badge of honor. It's already a collision sport, I'd focus on that. JLM should have made the list ahead of any kicker. The offensive & defensive fronts - those 12-18 guys are just the next notch under the QB, and IMO will be the difference this season if we are to earn spot in the tourney and beyond. Maybe the next real ranking could be supposing the top 5 newcomers?
On the topic of Strahm....I've got a theory. Stitt said that Strahm was somebody who "should have seen more playing time". I'm wondering if Stitt thinks that Strahm would calm down a bit reign in his extra-curricular activities if he saw the field more. Connor is a fierce competitor and an aggressive player, maybe sitting on the sidelines caused some of the pent up, aggressive penalties.

I hope he is still a bully out there and gets flagged a couple times, but I'm sure playing a bigger role on the defense will make him a little more conscious of his penalties.

I know this has gone around time and time again but I like the way he plays. Yeah I don't love the personal foul calls and I do want those dialed back a bit, but I don't want Strahm to cut back the intensity. I'd rather have an intimating middle backer than a timid one that's too concerned about the occasional flag.

I assume there's been talks and plans for playing smarter while keeping that level of intensity up.
I completely agree BW, his intensity and meanness is what makes him the player he is. I hope opposing players worry about a late hit from Connor. I think the shot by Holmes on EWU's QB to start the game was a textbook example of getting inside a players head.

I guess I haven't been paying very close attention... what's the scoop with Brandt Davidson?

One of our junior college transfers (I believe from AZ) who is expected to play a major role in plugging the middle. He's big....close to 300 lbs and plays tough. He had a good spring and looks the part of a great pick up. It also enables kidder to play on the end. Win win.

Where will Pedro be on this list? Takes 5-6 weeks for GRE results. Took it when do we think? And hope he's interested in coming?

Been waiting for word on his arrival like a kid waiting for Christmas and a Red Ryder BB gun. Would be a big (literally) addition to this team. All signs point to him coming (as far as Twitter and coaches following and his wearing Griz gear and referring to the GRE) but I suppose nothing is official until it's official.

Kyle Sample or AJ....throw us a bone here!

My hunch about the kicker? I noticed some very good things from the young kid from Loyola and I can't remember his name. My bet is on this young man. I noticed some good things watching him and will go out and declare him to be our new kicker. If he put in some work with the holder and snapper over the winter he will be our kicker and has the ability to be a damn good one!

Pedro is like the cute girl I was not able to get while in school. But if a chance came along....

U,U, U - the problem with that cute girl in school is that you and I have faces for radio. Find one with thick glasses. Pedro like a "cute girl" is really throwing water on my Chubb. Please, no mas. Cheers.

I know, I looked at Twitter to make sure nothing has changed. I love his quote about the election and starting over hahaha

1. The entire O line. With better protection and giving Brady just a couple more seconds could be the difference. NDSU knew that and gashed our O line hard in the last game. The O lineman will need to be completely different to keep things alive.

2. Jeremy Calhoun. I believe he had the 3rd most yards by a true freshman in Griz history. The kid is a beast and will be a huge asset to the offense.

3. Yeman Sanders. His speed and ability to read offenses seems to be off the charts. Great in pass protection and is very quick on blitzes.

4. Lane Hovey. I've never seen him play but from the looks of things he'll be filling Ben Roberts shoes. That being said brings up my choice for number 5...

5. Caleb Lyons. His closing speed is boggling!! This kid can get after it!! Get him a few good blocks using Hovey and Horner and Caleb will be gone.

6. Caleb Kidder. The DE spot is such a critical spot that I don't even need to explain his importance against offenses in the BSC.

7. JR Nelson. He's gonna be missed. I probably should've put him higher on the list honestly. His coverage is great and had some great pass break ups last season and I believe a few Pick 6s.

8. Johnny Nguyen. Should be higher on the list is well. Very useful in this offense. I think he'll have a great season!

9. Josh Buss. The kid has good size, quick, and a wrecking ball when given the chance. He destroyed one of CP's returners last season. If I remember correctly the kid sat out the rest of the game.

Last and absolutely not least 10. Tucker Schye. Big hitter and quick as well. Good instincts and is always fun to watch him individually on the field. He's gonna have a big season in 2016 and I wouldn't be surprised if he was wearing #37 next season

GO GRIZ!!!
