I see nothing wrong with being objective on a sports message board. I agree with the poster who thinks that there are way too many question marks around this team to make outlandish predictions about how good (or how bad) we will be. I think 8-3 will be the up-side. We have too many tough games to not lose some, in my opinion.

The offense is gonna be lights out. My concern is how it'll be on the defense. A lot of teams that play this brand of O see their D falter. Has Gregorak been the DC on a team with this style of offense?

I am not worried about the defense. Stitt's past teams have been good at controlling the clock with time of possession. Yes, the offense plays as fast any team, but it is not a quick strike offense by design.

Also, it is apparent to me, Stitt is expecting Gregorak to have more aggressive schemes. The days of soft coverage will behind the GRIZ. Will Gregorak still use soft coverages? There will be occasions, but those coverages will be a lot less prevalent. Even last season, we saw slightly more aggressive coverages. I feel Stitt is exactly who and what Gregorak needs to elevate himself as a DC and better overall coach. :thumb:

TG knows that he's not necessarily a Stitt guy because he is a holdover from the previous staff. This should motivate him to produce at a higher level. For that matter, coaches Green and Legi too.....

If I am being completely objective, I see the Griz in the 2-9 to 3-8 range this year.

That is completely subjective, with YOU being the subject. Being objective is quantifying your prediction with facts/data, like BW and others have done. :idea:

A lot of unknowns for you guys, new QB, new System, new Coach. All could go really well, but none of them are proven...yet.

Probably lose 2 of your first 3 and 2 of your last 3.

That would be a freaking miracle since its only an 11 game season.
But I think 7-4 is probably a pretty good bet.

Don't forget losing the "in state" recruiting battles against MSU. Actually, Growler was a pretty decent football poster. Banning him from egriz....I just don't believe in that.

Growler is missed simply because he stated such outlandish words. Remember he wanted us to get white linemen from the East coast? Black running backs? He blasted everyone on this board, including me. He never paid the bets he lost. Who does? I am not sure what he is like during normal life but he will be banned until he becomes un banned. Even serial rapists get out of prison, plus I don't think he shot anyone.

My guess is he would have us with a 5 and 5 record. I am tempted to think he might like Stitt but because so many of us like Stitt he may take the other side...of course he told a few white lies. Perhaps he is gone, who knows?

To me, Growler is entertaining as hell. Sure he can get abusive even racist at times. I think he even threatened Brint a few years back or challenged him to a forty yard sprint or something. That was the story anyway. He definitely has a colorful history on this message board. He sneaks on egriz a few times a year now under a fake screen name and this place goes bonkers for about a month until the MODS kill his account. I think it's all planned because everyone knows it's Growler but the MODS seem to enjoy the increased traffic while it lasts. Growler's last run as "Monte is a Character" was epic. I am still laughing....
