2015 Montana High School Playoffs

Big football weekend in Bozeman next weekend! State AA title hand on Friday, followed by Cat/Griz on Saturday. Here's to the Broncs winning their first state title since 1979!

*bump*
I want to keep this on the first page. It's been 36 years since our Dogs brought home the title!
I'm calling it, I think this is our year. I honestly think we put a hurt on Dillon this time, its still close, but I'm saying WF by 10. Yes, that is a hurtin on Dillon

Dmontana, I agree.

It is always tough to win down in Dillon but I believe Whitefish wins the A Championship. Though I doubt the "put a hurt" part. Dillon isn't a great team this year but it has a very good team who plays well as a unit. Whitefish will need to score early and often via the air (& Dillon is a bit suspect in the secondary), and then contain the Dillon QB from hurting them on the other side. Should be a very close and good game.

Over in Bozeman, I believe Billings Senior can get revenge and win the AA Championship. Senior's offense can break a big one on any play. They are tough to contain throughout the game. On the other side of the ball, Senior's defense has been playing very inspired football and will keep Bozeman from getting much on the board. I think this combination will be more than Bozeman can handle (for a second time). These are two good teams and it should be another good game.

I watched Senior spank West last night. West struggled to cross the 50 yard line the entire evening. I fully expect Senior to be in the AA final with their talent. I've watched Senior 3 times this year and they are loaded with athletes at every position. The Broncs are a young squad also, with only a few seniors in key positions. The young Sulser kid (#7) makes defenders look like their feet are in concrete. Top that off with the fact that he is only a sophomore. ... :egriz:

Sulser is a stud, comes from a super athletic family. His freshman track times are good: (and will only get faster)

10th 11.46a May 23 MHSA Class AA State Ch...prelim
9th 11.40a May 23 MHSA Class AA State Ch...final

Congrats to Bozeman and Senior. I'll take Senior by 9 in the chipper.

And not High School Football, but 2 Montana teams play for the Frontier Conference Championship tomorrow in Butte. Western @ Tech. Should be a good one. Go Dawgs!

Tech wins the Frontier, highly ranked.

RB Nolan Saracini is a STUD...all BSC material...damn I wish he was a Griz!!!

There isn't one player on the Griz that could beat him around the bases not even Daum

They raced twice on May 23, 2015:

Daum placed 1st and 1st
Sulser placed 10th and 9th

You are right, NOT EVEN CLOSE!

Sulsers fast time last year was 11.15, which set a Senior High freshman record.

Sulsers fast time last year was 11.15, which set a Senior High freshman record.

Sulers times:

100 Meters
1 11.59a V F Mar 28 BSHS/HHS/GFHS
3 11.62a V F Mar 31 Triangular_BWH_BSR_BHS
5 * 11.20a V P Apr 11 Billings Invitational
5 * 11.15a V F Apr 11 Billings Invitational
16 11.70a V P Apr 18 Swede Dahlberg Invitat...
2 11.39a V F Apr 25 Skor/DeKam Invitationa...
5 11.70a V P May 15 AA Eastern Divisional
5 11.41a V F May 15 AA Eastern Divisional
9 11.46a V P May 22 MHSA Class AA State Ch...
10 11.46a V P May 23 MHSA Class AA State Ch...
9 11.40a V F May 23 MHSA Class AA State Ch...

Of course his Billings Invitational times come nowhere near his other times for the year... that asterick means the times were wind-aided.

Daum placed 2nd at state his FR year
Sulser placed 9th at state his FR year

Daum ran 11.11 at state his FR year
Sulser ran 11.40 at state his FR year

Sulser is fast and a great athlete, but this shows how special Daum is.

It would be a good race. Daum was no slouch going around the bases. He also covered a lot of ground in the outfield. Although Ben Roberts didn't do a bad job of that. But I digress......

I couldn't touch those times in a car. With a head start. Down hill.

Very true. The "hurt" part to me means a Dillon loss by anything in double digits. They just don't lose. They're tough and proved so first game. This dog team IMO is heavy on great senior talent. I don't think anyone really appreciates how special a combo like May, Parker, Nagler really are until you see them.
This is honestly probably the best top to bottom WF team I have seen in 20 years. They are just a very special group. Once you watch them live, you get it. Yeah, they make mistakes. But when you see Luke make four people miss like Jordy Johnson, then step up and throw it 40 yards with pin point accuracy to the end zone....yeah....

 Exactly. Those are three very fast, athletic kids!
