2015 Montana High School Playoffs

Then there's my old school, Hellgate (Missoula County High School) which can't seem to appeal to enough guys to fill out a roster. But I hear that more of them than ever are enrolling in home ec, floral design and sewing. That's nice...
If you went to MCHS you were a Spartan - as in (the now) Sentinel Spartan. Hellgate was a new high school in an old building, and are the Knights. Any records or trophies from your days at MCHS are in the building on South Ave where MCHS was when they added the new Hellgate High School.

In CLASS B it will be Fairfield vs. the winner of HP and Boulder this weekend. Seen Fairfield up close and they are head and shoulders above any other team I have watched this year.

I hate the way the MHSA has the brackets setup as I do believe that Boulder and Huntley are the 2 next best teams and unfortunately one of them their season will end tomorrow.

Guess tip is a real man's man.....or something like that...

Please post as many scores as U get them. Thanks!

And for gosh sakes look for potential Griz...

Glacier hammering Big Sky 35-0 at Half

Will be a #3 or #4 seed and a very tough out... after tonight will have won 8 straight.

Capital Leads Butte 14-6 at Half
Flathead Leads Sentinel 21-0 late in 2nd
Helena Leads West 21-7 at Half
Glacier now up on Big Sky 42-0 in 3rd
Bozeman Leads Skyview 14-0 at Half
CMR Leads Great Falls 21-10 in 2nd

Butte Central Leads Hamilton 28-14 at Half

Glacier takes a short pass for a 58 Yard TD

49-0 Mid through 3rd

Trefney out and Glacier just rolls on, that one was a 96 yard drive.

Glacier Beats Big Sky 49-28, Really not that close, was 49-0 in the 3rd.
Flathead Leads Sentinel 28-7 mid through the 4th

Colstrip will easily beat Thompson Falls...even though the are just a wildcard. Reason is the western B is a level.below the good B teams this year (and most to be honest, if u don't believe me take a look at B past champions list ).

AA Standings After 10 Weeks
#1 Bozeman 9-1 (Beat Senior by 1 point)
#2 Senior 9-1
#3 Capital 8-2 (Lost to Glacier and Beat Helena)
#4 Helena High 8-2 (Beat Glacier & Capital)
#5 Glacier 8-2 (Lost to Helena & Beat Capital)
#6 Flathead 6-4 (Acc. to Flathead radio...Flathead wins tie breaker vs. West)
#7 West 6-4
#8 CMR 5-5 (Wins tie breaker with Sentinel)

#9 Sentinel 5-5

Should Helena tie Capital and Glacier for third and force a three-way tiebreaker. With each team winning a game against each other, Capital rises to the three seed due to its marquee win of the season, handing Bozeman its lone loss, 17-16 in Week 4 to mark the best strength-of-schedule victory of the three teams. With third out of the way, Helena High would host Glacier as the four seed, having won the head-to-head in Kalispell in the season opener. (Joseph Terry from Interlake)

CMR will be rooting for Flathead in either scenario, the Rustlers only making the playoffs with a crosstown win over Great Falls High and a Braves win over Sentinel. That would put CMR in a tie for eighth with the Spartans, the Rustlers then making the playoffs as the eighth seed with a strength-of-schedule victory over Helena High in Week 3. (Joseph Terry from Interlake)

If the paper is right...

#1 Bozeman (9-1) vs. #8 CMR (5-5)
Bozeman beat CMR 59-21 in Week 9

#2 Senior (9-1) vs. #7 West (6-4)
Senior beat West 27-0 in week 3

#3 Capital (8-2) vs. #6 Flathead (6-4)
Capital Beat Flathead 24-21 in week 8

#4 Helena High (8-2) vs. #5 Glacier (8-2)
Helena Beat Glacier 23-17 in week 1

Looks like Helena is the place to be next weekend...

#3 Capital (8-2) vs. #6 Flathead (6-4)
#4 Helena High (8-2) vs. #5 Glacier (8-2)

A- Butte Central Beat Hamilton 49-14
B- Colstrip beat T-Falls 38-14
C8- Ennis beat Drummond-Philipsburg 52-14
C6 Roy-Winifred at Hot Springs

All other games are on Saturday

Class A Analysis
Dillon is clearly the class of Class A football. Dillon comes into the playoff with an 8-0 record, which includes 6 wins over teams that made the playoffs...that's half of the field they have already defeated. Pretty impressive. The only other undefeated club is the Miles City Cowboys. Four of the Cowboys' wins have come over playoff teams. Playing in the Eastern Division doesn't hurt either....Miles City has been severely tested and is playoff ready. Let's not overlook the Whitefish Bulldogs though. With a 10-1 record Whitefish has played more games than any other team in the playoffs this year including 4 wins over playoff qualifiers. And their only loss was a tight 22-21 game versus Dillon. Whitefish is the only team to hold Dillon under 32 points the entire season. Billings Central has a chance to surprise. The Rams have a 6-2 record with 4 wins over playoff teams. Havre has a 7-3 record with 2 wins over playoff teams but I don't see the Blue Ponies getting into the Championship game. They are the most likely team to be upset in the Quarterfinals. Hamilton is also 7-3 with 2 wins over playoff qualifiers but I don't see them making any waves in this year's playoffs. Sidney and Butte enter the playoff with identical 6-2 records. I consider both to be the favorites to win their first-round game but Butte faces Miles City in the next round on the road and the Eagles would travel to Whitefish...both uphill battles. The remaining teams - Laurel at 5-3, C-Falls at 4-3, Polson and Belgrade at a paltry 3 wins and 5 losses each - are lucky to be in the playoffs considering every one of their losses was to a playoff qualifier. Dillon and Miles City should be in the championship game but Whitefish has a chance to fight its way in. WORST GAME ROUND 1Polson (3-5) at C-Fall (4-3) BEST GAME ROUND 1 Billings (6-2) vs Laurel (5-3) CHAMPIONSHIP GAME PREDICTION Dillon in a nail-biter over Miles City

Griz90, not sure who wrote this but it looks to be a spot on summary of the Class A playoffs.

Dillon, Miles City, and Whitefish are the clear favorites. Not only due to their superior records (just one loss between them) but to the way each attained their wins. Those three have been very impressive.

Billings Central has been battling injuries, but after playing in 7 out of the past 8 championship games you should never count them out. As to the rest of the field it would be a huge surprise if any made it to the final game a little own winning it.

Havre is playing some really solid football as of late!

FYI...I wrote it.

Griz90, Nicely Done!
Good luck to your Sidney Eagles today, and hopefully in Whitefish next week.

PS. BDizzle, Late this afternoon I'm going to watch Billings Central & Laurel match up for the second time in a week. I'd rather not see Laurel get over that hump.
