2015 March Madness thread

I've got UNI beating Louisville in the next round, they are more than just a one-hit wonder. Their guard Mitchell is a player and they have two guys coming off the bench that can score as well.

Not very related to this thread but....

The MSU Northern Skylights advanced to the NAIA Elite 8 after a win this afternoon.

With the round of 64 completed, I went 14-2 in the round of 64 each day. Not bad, 28-4 overall so far on my picks. I got the all the Iowa teams wrong. What are the odds of that?

Since we don't have a pony in the race, we're just looking for a few more upsets. (Would love to see Oregon bounce Wisconsin! Not holding my breath.) The Michigan State game was technically an upset (#7 over #2), but not really a huge surprise. Wichita State looked like crap early, but Kansas never took advantage of it. Good run by W to take the lead at half. Go Shockers! Let's knock another #2 seed out.

Kansas has definitely had some up and down games this year.

I am pulling for a Gonzaga/Wichita State final. Imagine the pissing contest that would cause by the power 5 conferences.

OMG! :o
Not just a win, but a fairly decisive win (13 points) by Wichita State. So another "favorite" bites the dust! I love March Madness!

+1 +1 +1 +1

I honestly could not ask for better sports entertainment leading up to that game. I wonder what AD's and University Presidents would whine the loudest? The game itself would be icing on that cake. :thumb:

I agree. Absolutely too funny.

Zags are looking pretty good right now. Hope they can keep it up.

I'm of two minds about Dayton. To be an 11 seed and get one actual and two "essentially" home games seems pretty unfair. It certainly looked like the difference in the BSU game. But, of course, that's the fault of the NCAA committee, not Dayton's -- so I'm pulling for them to knock yet another Big-12 team out. I know ... Okies just took the lead, but there's plenty of BBall to be played.

Xavier is still alive as well.

Zags pulling away. (Whew.)

Oregon started slow against Wisconsin, but pulled to within 3 points at the half. Would love to see another Western team move on.

Unfortunately, the Utes fell to Duke. I am pulling for Gonzaga to win it all. With that said, I doubt anyone can beat Kentucky. Kentucky is a rare team full of superstars who all play the game as a team and could care less about stats and playing time.

I actually want a Duke/Kentucky final. I don't like Duke, but I do like coach K. I could see a Patriots-style ending for Kentucky. 39-1.
