2015 March Madness thread

Utah up by only 4 with about 3:30 to go in the game. 48-44 after a bucket by SFA and a layup off a steal. Guy got fouled too but missed the FT. Utah goes over 6 mins without a FG.
 
Terrific games tonight. What heart and nerves of steel Cincinnati showed in beating Purdue. That was one of the tougher games for me to pick. I finally picked Cincinnati though. North Carolina (the biggest and best UNC) almost cost me. So far, 2 missed picks today. I am really looking forward to the EWU/Georgetown game.

Utah is holding off SFA so far. What a defensive game this has been.

This seems like the best opening night of basketball I can remember. I don't know if that means parity or the committee missed on seeding, but either way it is great. Utah is classic Krysko, keep waiting for the undersized red head to get the winning rebound.
 
Gotta say it would be really cool to see the Utah D against the EWU offense. How about Larry K making the tournament in 3 of 6 years he has been a head coach? Now 2-2 record in March madness.
 
Utah escaped with a close win.

It would be nice to see EWU close out the day by upsetting Georgetown. I picked G'Town, but would not be surprised if EWU beats them.

That might help. Inconsistent ref'n and very whistle happy might benefit them against a much much bigger and more physical team!

3-2 Georgetown up. Jois had a nice move inside and got fouled on his bucket. Stepped over the line for his FT though.

And... Jois just tried a 3. He should probably never do that again. I think it went over the rim and hit the bottom of the backboard on the other side.

Big dunk for the 350lb guy for Georgetown on the other end, and Harvey answers with a layup. 5-4 Georgetown now. Lucky that 350lb guy only plays about 21 mins a game.
 
2nd foul on the big guy for Georgetown. That helps. Good job by Jois there.

7-4 Georgetown with Jois going to the line to shoot 2.

Don't ya know man? A Griz coach can't show any fire, say anything to fire his team up, complain about a call, say anything that hints that the Griz are better in any area than anyone else, or anything other than happy-happy joy-joy stuff about other teams. If he does any of that (or wins) he's an asshole & a cocky bastard.

Meanwhile any other coach who goes after the Griz coach, talks smack, complains to the officials, makes guarantees, etc etc is just fiery and great! :P

EWU with an 8 - 0 run. Up 12-7 now. Harvey's step back is amazing....hard to defend that.

Hope Oregon coaches are watching him... :P

Ha very good, pretty sure he is wearing a duck shirt. Between curry and the Harvey professional courtesy GTown is in big trouble.
 
Game playing out like expected for each team. Georgetown getting points with their size on the boards. EWU hitting consistently from the perimeter. I hope Harvey and Brandon look to penetrate more.
 
How come when truth says EWU has no defense it is ok, but when TDC says it he is an ass. And note to Gtown - don't touch Harvey.
