2015 Griz Football Recruiting- 4 Transfers/ 17 Verbals/ 4 WO's

If Johnson does sign, I would bet its because Stitt is giving him the opportunity to be an RB since it sounds like everyone else wanted him to be a DB. There are a few guys on the roster that will need to step up - and as already mentioned, Favors was an NDSU recruit.

Wasn't Chase recruited as a receiver?

Nope, he was recruited as a running back, but was considered as a safety very early on in his career.

Chase Reynolds, a 5-foot-11 and 190 pound running back also from Drummond, is the second part of the unusual duo that helps comprise this year's recruiting class. Like Bradshaw, Reynolds lack the stereotypical size of past UM rushers, but the Grizzly staff has been impressed by his power and natural ability at the position in past camps.

"It's a little bit unique that we'd take one man off of an eight-man football team, let alone two off of the same team," Hauck said. "He's a kid who scored almost every time he touched the ball when we watched him on tape. He tackles well and he could be a great special-teams player. He could play defense, too, if he ever slides to that side of the ball, but we like him as a running back. We got to evaluate him against the big school kids in the state last summer and he went through them just like he went through the small school kids during the season, so we're excited about him."

Nice. Thanks for the clarification.

On offense, Chase started out as a HB, then converted to WR. Fortunately for everyone, our HB depth was not very good after Lex graduated. Chase was changed back to HB for depth purposes, the rest is history.

Guys....give it a Fucking rest. Quit worrying about the chess pieces, these aren't pawns nor rooks. We have guys coming off red shirts from last year as well to help with the line etc.
Let Stitt do what he does then try to second guess him. But you all read on here like a bunch of church whores who can do better by the second bell. Trust me, none of you been to class yet.

Very few are 2nd guessing Stitt here. This is pretty normal recruiting talk this time of the year.

..actually it's not...cause the nation hasn't had a real change like this since Papa. I've monitored it for awhile, like you. All my point is you can second guess the suns rise by saying what's fair and what's not with this shift but acting like a bunch of babies is just dumb.

Just riffing here, but I came across this article.

Hoestly this years recruits (H.S. kidwise) will likely have very little effect on the team this year......it is more of the next few years they will play key roles

Sounds a lot like the issues good Montana kids have....but this is what doesn't make sense to me:
While it's not a complete shock that colleges outside the state aren't beating down the doors of the Bruere residence, the fact that in-state programs New Mexico and New Mexico State have shunned the state's most prolific prep passer is peculiar.
For the record, the Lobos received a commitment from 3-star JUCO passer Austin Apodaca in December. The Aggies have yet to secure a verbal pledge from a quarterback in the 2015 cycle, perhaps due to the fact they signed six quarterbacks in the 2014 cycle.

"It baffles me that the home schools don't even offer him, and they're 20 minutes down the road," Darlington said.

As fate would have it, both schools who came to view Easton live in the spring were heavily interested in him.

Well, there is that whole post graduation thingy with the service schools that some kids aren't into.

He also has an Army offer, smart - great character kid, obvious leadership skills, another great get for the program if he chooses UM. Wait, does posting this make me a bigger church whore than i already am? And to cover all the bases, wish him the best of luck wherever life takes him, even if that's to one of those tire fire mountain west teams.

Save some of that magic for this one coach. This kid can play a little.

This information just in: It was reported by the Racksneck Sportsnews that U of M new coach (Bob Stitt) reads Egriz on line everyday to help with his recruiting of high school young men that may help his football program.

Coach Stitt has been a leader in new innovative football tactics so it comes as no surprise. Brilliant ideas have been found on Egriz and information abounds!

This might assist you couch coaches and lead many to keep Stitt informed of young talent!
