Of course there are tons of 2-3 star kids with no FBS offers, UM is not worthy, the grass is always greener, and the glass is always half empty !!!

Let me save you some time.

You are debating with someone more unbiased, objective and impartial than you, and has never been wrong.

"Take off the maroon-colored glasses"

My bad Raidah...every single kid should go to Montana to play football...there is not a single good reason any smart kid would do differently...all those kids going to FBS schools are foolish idiots...I wonder how Idaho even fields a team, you know, since FCS is and should be king with most 18 year old high school kids that don't even know you have to click the FCS (Division 1-AA) link to even see what teams are actually in FCS from the ESPN page

Is that what I said? No, not at all. Not what I said in the slightest.

Maybe you could just drop the snarky “I just call it like it is” and am thus right all the time bit.

No surprise here...

LB/RB Fotu Leiato II 6'0" 195 (Steilacoom HS) Steilacoom, WA (Oregon)

Just watched his hudl video -- talk about playing with your hair on fire! I got the feeling that Steilacoom's opponents felt that they were going to be smashed down before they even exited the tunnel just for wearing the wrong-colored jersey. What a ferocious hitter!

Hate to stereotype, but that's Samoan football. No holds barred.

Statements like these are why people think Griz fans are arrogant bitches...

Or realists. You know, whatever.

Good for Baker...next man up.

My point is, whether you think Idaho and New Mexico are shitholes or not, if a kid picks those instead of Montana...stay classy...don't act like a douche

grizindabox makes a good point. Montana has had a lot of success over the years, so my hat is off to you. I can't imagine going to Eastern Washington and a town of 10,000, where the "fun" town of Spokane is an hour or more drive, but for some young men it is a great fit. Same for Northern Arizona.

I think you are confusing Cheney, WA with Pullman, WA. Cheney is 15-20 minutes from downtown Spokane, depending in traffic.

According to Jayson Williams' instagram, he did NOT commit to Montana while here, even tho he included a photo of him in a #4 Griz jersey. That was less than 30 minutes ago...

Gut feeling he will be signing West of us. Hope I'm wrong!!

My guess is he's holding out for a late Pac-12 offer, but we'll see. Would love to see him in red. :)

VERBAL ADDED

RB- Kamron Johnson (3-Star)

Billingsgriz. FCS is considered the B league of college football. Usually, if given the opportunity, a talented recruit will prefer FBS to have the opportunity to compete at a higher level. It isn't too impressive to think about competing against Northern Colorado, Southern Utah for four years. Parents, in my view, will also support a decision to select a FBS school.

What the hell is Montana State telling all their recruits that visit, seems like they have gotten most all the recruits that have visited them including Cam Sutton who was still being heavily recruited by us. Does msu really think they are gping to beat us anytime soon? Have fun loosing guys

I have wondered what the cats must say to recruits especially when they have seen our facilities, the new training center and locker rooms, our stadium, our record over them (and the beat down scores), all the championships we have won and the large amount of players we have placed in the NFL. Other than a kid wanting a degree in engineering or milkin cows the kittens got nothin on the Griz.

Cam Sutton is your one example? How about Holden, Daum (previous MSU verbal), Bingham...those were the most high profile mt kids in addition to Sims, who we may get as well. It might be looking like the annual "who recruits Montana better" thread will just have to get bypassed this year, because so far the instate recruiting has seemed pretty lopsided...I'll wait until signing day to go much further though.

Not to mention, if you decide your FBS decision wasn't the right one after a year or two, you can transfer to a FCS school. Not lose a year of eligibility and have a whole new crop of ladies. Although I am in the boat with people that think playing in Wa Griz during the playoffs absolutely TRUMPS anything Idaho or New Mexico could EVER offer in terms of atmosphere and experience.

True to a certain extent but one thing to consider is both coaches (especially Stitt) are forming, molding or at the very least adding to the players they have to build a team they have a vision for. Even though a player is being recruited, coach and his staff might have their sights set bigger, or at least different. Just because the Griz (or the Cats) show interest in a recruit doesn't mean they will be doing backflips to land every one. Some of these kids I think are worth doing backflips over though.

Not to say this is what has happened or not as there is much we do not know but you have to admit this recruiting class is pretty impressive. Coincidence? Luck? Strategy? Who knows.

They have a lot of cute sheep???

I love football as much as the next guy. But we need to remember these kids and I mean kids are coming here for a education for their future lives. Football for some of them is just a bonus why they learn, a rare few, turn it into a career.

Jesus Christ! Is it time to lock this phucking thread? Way to take a thread about prospects and turn it into a Debbie Downer thread about coming up short to the Bobcats, Eagles and every shit school bodybag game for hire licking the taint of real FBS schools on the planet. Seriously, Griz don't deserve you.

I was trying to say something similar, but you said it so much better than I could have.

For an offense that doesn't technically use a tight end, why are we offering full ride offers to both Bingham and Sims? I know we want to lock up the best Montana players year in and year out, but I think there are more pressing needs right now than another tight end "receiver".

I personally think we need to offer another another DT. If the (2) guys that we currently have verbaled stick with their commits, then we are set!! But, if one or both of them head elsewhere, we are going to need to replace them.

I'm also worried about our corner position as well. Once Harris graduates at the end of the year, we are going to be very thin and unproven at the position.

Cody Meyer is a good player. First team all conference in the same conference as Mau Ena, first team defense.
Meyer just does a great job of staying on blocks, getting to the second level when asked and snapping the ball quickly and then getting on his man. If you watch his clip, he's looking for someone to block at all times right to the whistle.
Griz are going to be glad they got Meyer.
