Jerrin may in fact be wavering, but he doesn't indicate that via twitter. But havgrizfan usually has solid info, so it is concerning.

That would be unfortunate, because he is size ready to play next year.

Jayson Williams II would be spectacular in Stitt's offense, really hope the Griz land him.

I'd be very careful if I was Jerrin Williams, or any athlete being recruited by Eastern Washington right now. Baldwin was shopping for another job this month even before EWU's season ended. He's probably going to be shopping again in 2015.

Without Baldwin, is Eastern a place anyone really wants to be? That place is such a shit hole.

Why qualify that with "without Baldwin"? Is Eastern EVER a place anyone wants to be? :x

Does this surprise you? As long as Montana is serving its scholarship reduction penalty They will have limited Montana high school players commit unless they want to walk on. Get used to it.

The U offered more $ than MSU. Sounds like his decision was based on other factors (the amount of recruitment from MSU, Brunell not being retained by UM and the kid really believes what Ash is selling).

Griz probably told him their two deep is better than starting lineup for MSU and he probably wasn't going to play for the next two years.
Or they could have told him he's not as good as Cy Sirmon.
Montana didn't lose a single linebacker to graduation. MSU loses five.

If we didn't want him, we wouldn't have offered him money. Lets not act like we didn't want this kid.

It's also dumb that Cat fans are coming over and trying to talk smack. Win games first, then you can talk.

If Montana offered Hill a scholarship, they must have been interested. No argument here.

Just pointing out that 5 seniors moving on and not much talent on the bench could get Hill on the field way sooner than he would see playing time at Montana.
Does Sirmon being better mean Hill wasn't being recruited? No. It does put one more guy between Hill and the field.
MSU is a much easier path.

I agree with griz4life: we like the kid or we wouldn't have offered him a scholarship.

That said, we do have a lot of depth at LB, and The Shi##y Kitties D needs all the help it can get !!!

A friend of mine that is a big Cat fan here in Billings wonders how MSU's DC Marshall still has a job, and so do I. As we noted, it's not fair to your O when they know they have to score 40-50 + points a game because your own D will give up that many or more.

Mr. Hill definitely has a chance of seeing the field a lot more quickly in Bozeman than he would in Missoula.

hill is probably going to redshirt and we lose four linebackers this year. three starters. getting early playing time probably not a factor. probably had more to do with staff upheaval.

Lose four seniors after 2015, still would have eight junior linebackers in 2016 and that doesn't include the safeties Ty Gregorak will convert to linebackers.

The staff upheaval theory is a fun to pontificate, but the defensive coordinator -- who also coaches linebackers -- is still at UM.

Hill indicated the departure of Ross Brunelle played a factor. Really? A guy that didn't coach Hill's position or even remotely determine the plays called on defense was the linchpin?

Brunelle, originally from Spokane, coached tight ends and special teams for the Griz. If anything, maybe we should be asking why Hill was assigned to an offensive/special teams guy in the first place.

It doesn't work that way. Coaches are usually assigned geographical regions based on who they know and connections they have.

Question: As some of these guys verbal, do universities then pull back offers when they feel they've got "enough" of one position they're looking for? Can we retract an offer AFTER a verbal has been made (I'm assuming so)?

Sweet, that means we will have a 4 man battle for QB!!!!! That is assuming Gustafson and Weyer indeed transfer, which I hear will happen (if true, I wish them the best).
