bruinsnation.com says ucla is moving on kyon clark. his brother kenny starts at dt there.

Payton, stop soaking up the accolades and stop this from happening!
If we lose this prospect to UCLA we will be reducing your eGriz paycheck accordingly.
Probably will affect your Christmas bonus too. :ugeek:

Kyon Clark, 6-1, 345, Rialto (Calif.) Carter
Ranking: #96 DT

Clark is the younger brother of current UCLA defensive lineman Kenneth Clark, and attended the UCLA Lineman Camp in June. He's clearly got some weight loss ahead of him, but he has shed some, and for a guy his size he can really move nimbly, to go along with natural strength. Clark verbally committed to Montana but then earlier this week he told Scout that he's open to a UCLA offer, even if it was as a greyshirt, so he could play with his brother and be closer to home. Clark will probably visit in January and its uncertain when he'll be offered, but if he is, expect him to commit and sign in February, even if he postpones his enrollment.

I would love to have this kid a Griz! He'd probably start right away here, but be on the pine at UCLA for few years.

I dont use Kittie nation (Except Colter) for any Recruiting news, they have a bad record of being wrong... Those jokers are like Curious George on Red Bull.

Well the link was from Colter so?

Why is this so important to you... he chose msu... carry on.
He stays on the Montana High School player list.

So you use Colter except when you don't want to, gotcha.

Are you two purposely trying to piss him off? WTF?

So Payton, what's the flow of recruiting news for the next month? We get Juco commitments early in the year and then what? What's the visitation/quiet periods look like?

Below is the NCAA Calendar... All Universities are in a "Dead" Period (See below) now. However, this is the time when a lot of recruits decide. They are at home talking to thier family around Christmas and New Years Day.

Dec 15 to Jan 14 Dead Period
Jan 15 to Jan 31 Contact Period
Feb 1 Quiet Period
Feb 2 to 5 Dead Period
Feb 4 National Letter Signing Date
***JC Signing dates are from Dec 17 to Jan 15, Winter session at UM starts on Jan 5th this school year.***

Contact period
The most wide-open time. During this time, coaches can visit with prospects and families regardless of location. In-person contact is permitted once per week. Electronic and written communications are also permitted.

Quiet period
The quiet period tightens things a bit more, preventing any off-campus contact or viewing. Visits to the college's campus and written or electronic communications are still permitted.

Dead period
The dead period is the most restrictive. No in-person contact is allowed, even if a prospect makes a visit to the college campus. Written and electronic communications are still permitted.

I see you have the WSU transfer listed as a WR/S, heard before he was a conerback. Anyone know what position we're bringing him in to play?

Not exactly sure... would guess CB or S because when he agreed UM did not have coach Stott.

Thanks for the break down, Payton. UM doesn't usually announce their JCs, right? At least not until the end of January?

Coach Stitt...

Please get on the phone with Tyree Range!!!!

Yeah, call Tyree Range and tell him there's a new coach and all recruits are being reevaluated. Tell him the new coach has added several new prospects to the list, but scholarships are still limited. Committing now might be the safe bet.

Is there any word on Tyree since the coaching change? It still shows that he's a Montana commit in the San Diego Union but that was a few weeks back. I heard rumors of some FBS
Interest in him. Who knows? He's a nice player though......

In the middle of October, with Colorado State offering and a few larger schools showing interest and he decommitted. Unfortunately for him (and may be a blessing for UM) he hurt his leg. After watching his film, I dont think UM could have kept him.

This happens quit abit and I truly hope the new coaching staff has kept in contact. This guy is a stud and if Coach Stitt wants his 1000 yard rusher... here he is!!!

Tyree... if you are seeing this, Choosing UM will be a blessing to Griz fans and a blessing to you also. This is the greatest family in college football.
