2015-16 UM recruiting\ 2 Verbals

Look at those names on the list. So many from California and Washington. Coach DeCuire's past experiences are allowing us to have a chance at many of these top kids. He is from Tacoma and coached at Cal for 6 seasons. Also, seems to me that Cobb and Bone have had a hand in some of this recruiting. Pridgett is a Bay Area product - Anderson a Tacoma/Seattle product. DeCuire has changed our recruiting level and done it by targeting areas that himself and his staff can get players.

I am hearing 1 of the top players in WA is heavily considering the GRIZ. I am guessing that player is Anderson. I know Travis really wants to land a versatile athletic SF. I have a feeling the class of 2017 will be the class we get a big or 2. :thumb:

Seems to me that a heavy amount of our recruiting now being done in Bay Area (some SoCal) & Seattle. Exciting to see because there are so many good players. Good players want to play with other good players. If we can start serious trends it will change everything. Seems the staff really is shooting for the moon.

So....with Rorie transferred in, and the verbal from Pridgett, and losing only Martin Breunig to graduation after this upcoming season, is recruiting for 2016 completed?

By my count, if Dejongs scholarship is only for this year which I believe it is, then we still have an open spot for next year.

That is correct. In this case, Dejong was made aware, him keeping the scholarship is determined by his improvement and possible growth. Between the lines, if we need the scholarship to better the team, his will be among the 1st scholarships sacrificed.

Yes technically but most are assumed, barring unforeseen circumstances, to be for a prospects collegiate career. Was referring to what grizrule mentioned.

Looks like Mr. Bassett has risen above our grasp. Major bummer!
