2014 Montana Grizzly recruiting

Don't remember where I read it but Jesse dominated in a leauge in Arizona last summer and he holds offers from both Griz and Cats along with University of Toledo.

Saw him play against Butte Central (the only class A team to beat Stevensville this year, the BC win was during the reg season) in the divisional tournament championship game in which Stevensville came away with a close, hard-fought div championship win over Butte Central in Butte. The kid is a very good looking player, with lots of potential... a guy behind me said as he watched "That kid is a man amongst boys out there" while watching the div champ game. I agree.

Mick Delaney was in attendance. He saw his recruit from Dillon play (Carver), and also saw Dillons msu recruit (Folsom) play. Butte Central beat Dillon (who were the defending state champs) in overtime. Folsom was the best athlete in the tournament, along with Sims. Followed by Butte Centrals Brady Tippett.

Butte Central also hosted the girls southwest div tournament at the same time, which included Micks grandaughter on Butte Central...BC won div, but the 2012 state runnerups did not do well at this years state tourney. Hamilton has a young girls team (mainly sophs this year), and should compete for a state title in the next 2 years. One of their girls is the younger sister of msu star Ashley Brumwell (formerly Albert). They were small, but very skilled.
 
Another add on for the future: Angel Chavez 5' 11" DB from Pocatello Id. He is a clamp down player.
Speed and a ton of toughness. Has offer from U of Idaho.
My bet is he wants to play for the Griz! In fact they are visiting with him as we speak.

I take that to mean he is visiting UM because it is a quiet period until April 14th.


The quiet period is a designated time in which schools may contact recruits via phone or mail, or visit with them on the institution's campus. However, in-person contact taking place outside of the school's campus is prohibited.

Many have said "The thing about Cook is his dad". If he doesn't play ball in Montana, I believe that is what they call addition by subtraction.

Dude is probably enjoying his downtime for awhile.....he works pretty dang hard on it the rest of the year.

For old kool moe deee, Angel Chavez visited UM during last Saturday as it was Junior day.

Me thinks Cook's dad wants to coach & he sees his son as his ticket to a coaching staff... he tried to do that at Butte Central & they didn't allow it which is why he is at BHS....
