Wow, four of the eight Missoula kids selected started their playing time on the same team. I couldn't be prouder!
 
It's nice to see Division A represented! and four from the Polson Pirates to boot! Congrats! :thumb: I see where this game will be played in Butte too...shhweeet. :clap:
 
Congratulations to all of the kids! What a great honor...

I'm especially proud of the 5 Butte High roster players, and the 7 Butte High alternates. I'll throw a little love over to the 2 Butte Central and 1 Anaconda players as well.

One small correction to the roster above though, it reads C Andre Vialpando...he's actually a CB.
 
Just heard back and tickets won't be available until spring. According to their facebook response they will notify via twitter and fb when available.
 
You'll want to get your tickets as soon as possible. Because Butte is a town that loves football, and having just come off a state championship season where the title game attendance set a state record +8k, the Shrine game will be standing-room-only as well, since Naranche normally seats 4,500 I believe? Please come watch the game (support the Shrine hospital), you'll have a good view as the seats are right on top of the field, ala WA Griz. There's a brand new 4-story hotel going up now off the Harrison Ave exit that will be finished and ready for your sleepy head. :P

These players were nominated by their schools and coaches across the state, and finally selected as the “best of the best” to participate in the 67th Montana Shrine Game. They join an elite fraternity of players, many of whom have gone on to distinguished collegiate and professional careers.

I thought I heard Butcher finally settled on tech, but am not 100% sure.

Thanks for the info; though not 100 % certain. Be interesting since he's listed @ 6'5" 230 lbs and a DE. Could be a project but in two or three years, who knows? If not on a scholarship, though most likely offered one from somewhere, I don't know if any of the players that I mentioned would be a preferred walk-on or what, either at UofM or MSU.
 
Butcher is headed to Tech. Sather to Minot State. Heard Sather turned down a preferred walk-on with the Griz. According to this list published by the Gazette, I don't see any of the others.

It does show an Anthony Moritz out of Butte going to Tech as well. Maybe the others are still weighing their options.
 
I can't believe the name Shannon Williams from Livingston has not been discussed as possible recruit for Griz. He is listed as an Alt for the east, but this kid is a stud! He had at least two games last year for Livingston where he rushed for over 250 yds in each, this number may have been higher, I can't remember the stats.

5'10 200lbs....someone better be watching!

Butte High's Nick Butorovich autographs a football during "Bulldog Night" as the Class AA State champion Bulldogs met with fans Nov. 28 at the Butte Plaza Mall.

Butte High offensive lineman Nick Butorovich signed to play football at the North Dakota State College of Science, Butte High coach Arie Grey said today.

Butorovich, a 6-foot-4, 300-pound offensive lineman was a key part to Butte High’s Class AA State title run in 2012. He started three years on the Bulldog offensive line. He also played defense for the Bulldogs.

In June, Butorovich will represent Montana at the Badlands Bowl in Miles City. A month later, he’ll play on the West Team in the Montana Shrine game, which is in the Mining City.

NDSC is a two-year junior college in Wahpeton, which is on the Minnesota border in south-eastern North Dakota.

The Wildcats play in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.

Butorovich is the fifth member of the State championship team to sign to play football in college. Zach Bunney, Drew Schleeman and Anthony Moritz signed with Montana Tech last month. Bryce Armstrong signed with MSU-Northern.
