Mick is the 2013 coach.

I think you missed the point...he is apparently a lame duck coach, so to speak. this cannot help the recruiting effort as other schools are clearly showing much improvement in that area. We need a young, dynamic coach badly.

IF the Griz are as successful as we all hope they will be, when the time comes the easy,obvious and appropriate next coach will be someone already on staff. That will make for a smooth transition.

IF the Griz struggle, the next coach will surely come from outside the present staff.

@ griz4life - you are right Jonathan SMith is QB coach at Boise. The list is actually its meant for conversation glad you got your kick though...feel better now? You got a few we could throw rocks at?

Sorry if I missed something obvious.

The thing you missed that is obvious is that Mick signed a two-year contract and UM is not the kind of institution that pays two coaches - well, unless the President feels the need to make a statement to appease the female faculty and the Missoulian.

We will be as lucky to have Mick in 2013 as we are in 2012. He will create the right environment for the new guy to succeed in 2014, starting with Wyoming. Unless they extend Mick after he wins the 2013 NC...
