2013 BRINTY AWARD

Is there a category for "song written and performed by opposing fans and sanctioned by that school's athletic department of the year" ?

Can I vote since it's my name-sake award?

If so I'm voting for Optimus Prime's, "Are they checking pitchforks at the gate" post.

It's an honor to be one of the picks in this year's awards ceremony!

And the envelope please…

Before announcing this year’s post of the year, I would like to present a Lifetime Achievement Award for one of our most cherished posters. For his innovative and provocative work in the visual arts and his steadfast efforts in keeping the kitties in their place, the Lifetime Achievement Award Brinty goes to Bear Axed. Please take a moment to view some of his finer work this year:

A couple of folks have nominated Threads of the Year as nominations for Post of the Year. Even though they have trouble following directions, they do pose an interesting question: What was the best thread of the year? For my money, the 2013 Brinty Award for the Thread of the Year goes to Argh! for “Once it is Over…” http://www.egriz.com/grizboard/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=61213" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The timing of this thread was perfect. It was cathartic, adolescent and brutally funny.

And finally, the Brinty for this year’s Post of the Year goes to:
We have a tie… The Brintys go to:

JJ Concussion

I agree that we win with or without JJ in Bozeman. Hope he is fine, but if not rest him for the playoffs. The Cats have almost no offense right now. SSH can put up more than enough to win in Bozeman. The Cats took a physical beating again today. To be fair, they are just not the same (decent) team as they were in October. I almost feel bad for them sliding from no. 2 to missing the playoffs in all likelihood. Beat them next week will be like euthanizing an old pet. It's sad but it has to be done. It's better this way. Go quietly into the winter night old friend, the rest of us must play on...

Congratulations Buttegrizzle and pussycatkillerz! Thank you to the nominators and the voters!

WOW!

I'm very honored and would like to thank everyone who makes this ridiculously entertaining and addicting website possible at no charge! I would also like to thank URSA MAJOR for putting in the time and effort to make this award possible!!

GO GRIZ!

PCK. Prepare for your life to change. I wasn't aware of the impact winning a Brinty would have but shit got pretty crazy for me last year. I wound up courtside at a bunch of Miami Heat games courtesy of Lebron James (he still texts me by the way), backstage at Drake shows (Thanks Drake) and maybe the best part of winning a Brinty? I've made a small fortune just signing my name for people. I hope you handle it a little better than I have. My friends say I'm an insufferable douche bag now and my drinking has gotten out of hand.

Congrats my Brinty Brother. Go Griz!

Wow! I don't know what to say except that I have no higher aspirations and may have overachieved. Thanks egriz!
