2012 Playoff Favorites

I hope all the big sky teams do well, even MSU.

I'd hate all the smack that came with it, but them winning a NC would be good for both of us.

As for strong teams, I think SHSU is looking fierce. I'm not buying into the NDSU hype. I think they're overrated. I also like App State and ODU.

I also love that the West now finally seems stronger than the East in FCS. :thumb:

I used to, until I watched the Nova game in a bozo bar....I vowed that day to never, ever root for the scats again due to the level of doucheness shown that night by scat fans and coaches.

The same shit happens on both sides. We all have shitty fans, judging a team based on those few fans is beyond stupid. Like always, I'll cheer on the other team from Montana, except for when they're playing us. Maybe it's just because I'm from the state, but I always like to see both teams from Montana do well.

Why not root for the Big Sky team? I'd rather see kids from the conference succeed. My wish list is always Eastern on top, and beyond that everybody in the conference is fine by me. The only team I generally don't root for in any situation except v. an East Coast team is Montana State. I have personal animosity towards them, but I think they're running a really good program right now.

The Griz knocked ASU out of the playoffs twice, with two heartbreaking loses. All the time we spent on our trip to Boone, last September, I don't remember ANYONE sayin' anything negative about the Griz!

Verbally, about as aggressive as they got were sayin' things like: "You've got no chance in this one!", "You're goin' home with a L!", "It's gonna' be close, but we're gonna' win!", and mostly stuff like: "What are you drinkin', I'm buyin'!", "Come to tailgate area _______, we'll feed ya'!", and "Have you tried moonshine yet? Give this one a try!". OK...maybe a few: "Whose that big, ugly guy with the camera?", but those don't count...

Simple stuff like that is what causes me to have the TREMENDOUS amount respect for ASU that I do!

And speaking of AG, as much as I hate to say it, whatever he said about me was probably true! He's very seldom wrong!??!

I agree with you on SHSU. It seems like they are peaking in a big way right now. The whole thing is still NDSU's to win though.

I'm as big of a Bobcat fan as there is, but until they show me otherwise, I will be cautiously optimistic about their chances this year! In my opinion, this is the year that we have to make a deep run. We have a good offense, decent special teams, and an amazing defense. We lose a ton of key seniors on defense after this season and this is my biggest concern. Next season we will have a very powerful offense with a young but experienced O line barring any major injuries. Our only key loss on the O line will be Sampson at the center position. Losing Trey Robinson and Orenzo Davis will be a hit, but with Cody Kirk and Shawn Johnson coming back, we should be fine at Running back. We'll have most of our key receivers...and DMac coming back as well. We do have young performers on defense as well...but the losses of Minter, JO, Darius Jones, Schreibeis, and Brian Bignell could be tough to overcome next year.

Anyway, as the bracket stands today...we have a decent chance make it to the chipper. I think this is the year we have to do it. However, if Sam Houston slips to our side of the bracket, or we lose this weekend, our chances will become a whole lot slimmer. My gut feeling says NDSU wins it...with SHSU being the darkhorse.

Hope to see a lot of Griz folks in Cheney for the playoffs (hopefully we host a playoff game, or two, or three).

Saw a ton of support from Griz fans during EWU's 2010 playoff run, hope to see a lot of you out there again. You have some of the best, and biggest die hard fans out there.

Always root for EWU first, then any other Big Sky team in the running...

More respect for this guy. YOU never root for your rival. Griz fans that root for the cats obviously do not think griz/cat is a rivalry. My nephew waas 4 year old and said my favorite team is Yankees and 2nd favorite is the redsox. He was obvioulsy cured of that. so heres to anyone who plays the cats.
