I am working with Port o Call(Great bar downtown) down here in SLC to set up a pre game function starting at 10am. I know the first game starts at 1040am. Do you think most people will want to go to first game? How many would want to stay and eat some food and drink some beer? They are looking at getting some buses to bring folks to game at 1230pm. Nevada is doing this and refused to be in same room as us (they are afraid of us) so Manager needs to know so she can reserve separate rooms. Also get the word out that they have a great St Patricks day planned.

You're telling me beer can be served somewhere in SLC? I'm shocked. Last time I was there I couldn't find anywhere to serve me a caffeinated drink.

I will be attending the 1st game, no way I am missing the chance to see any NCAA tourney games, plus after paying about $150 for my tickets it would be dumb to skip a game.

I purchased my tix today, but due to scheduling I have to drive down the same day (leave town super early).

Personally getting together after the game works much much better.

If I can get tickets off ebay (I got shut out at the box office), I'll plan to attend all the games, especially the other morning session game and the Zag game.

Seems like a lot of people got shut out of the box office. Rumor has it that out of the 550 tickets Montana was given, that 50 went to the Alumni bus, 250 went to the program, and 200 were for sale. Add the people who arent griz fans but buy griz tickets, and that doesnt leave many tickets.

When were you the last Titlest, 1847? If you can't find anything in Salt Lake City that you could find anywhere else, except lottery tickets you must be blind.

2001.. but then again, I was only 18 and I was in the very Mormon part of SLC. ;) Right next to Temple Square. However, it is home to my favorite restaurant, Rodizio.

Do you still have to get "sponsored" at these drinking establishments and pay a "membership fee" of like $5? That is what i remember having to do on more than one occaision. Most of my beers lately in SLC have been at the airport making connections.

Guy at the ticket window told me they only were given 100 to sell that morning...

$150.00 for the session for one person? Final Four tickets were only $180.00 for the three games and passes to Hoop City.

No, $150 for all 3 sessions. I got the last March. Its funny because the first time I went in '92 they were only $75 & they gradually climbed each year.

There are a lot of tickets being advertised on Craigslist. Here is the link and a link to the seating digram of the Huntsman Center. If you see a section you are interested in, click on the number and you will get a view of what the court looks like from that seat.

It appears like a tough surface to play on. The vault screen has worked in the past I hope Special K gets that in if it is close. Not the venue where you would expect a bar, however.

Ok here is the latest. There will be no "formal" pregame function at Port O Call. However they will open at 10am for those of you that want a beer with breakfast. I will let everyone know soon whether or not I can sponsor all of you. I am able to sponser everyone for the Griz/Cat game so I am assuming it will be ok. Just tell them you are with Montana group and you should be ok. At most you will have to pay $5 cover. I would encourage all of you to stop by after the game if possible. Port O Call has been very good to us for the Football games and I would like to see that continue and give them some support as well.
