2-Deeps from Practice

Peevey running with the 2s at DE today. These practice depth charts shift daily. Don't put too much stock in them at this point, although they make for interesting discussion topics.

Man are we thin at defensive tackle, only 5 DT's listed on the entire roster. We might need to think about moving some guys from other positions.

Super thin at DT. My biggest concern for the season, with OL next. Not good because a team can't win if it loses the battle in the trenches.

Yep. For all the overzealous posters that predict you're going to beat the Bison, and then roll through your schedule with only a loss or two, or some even predicted 11 and 0, they need to step back and look at the reality of the situation with your lines. NDSU is going to manhandle you with their massive O Line. I think their guys are all like 6'6" or 6\7" and like 310 pounds.

agree with this we have to hope to stay healthy and they are quick off the ball, or we could be having trouble

Kind of like how the Griz manhandle the cats slow and weak defense every year?

NDSU will get their yards on the ground. No doubt. Griz will have to maintain drives and create a couple turnovers. It will be a close a game.

10 SR's on the Defensive Two-deep, but only FOUR on the Offensive Two-deep. Next year's offense is gonna be absolutely SICK.
Agreed about the returning expierience on O next year. A lot of our reserves on D are Fr and So. Really excited to see them develop this year and return to take over the D next year. Defence wins championships and we're overdue.

Not every year, but a lot of years, yes. You get it. You guys HOPE it will be a close game but knowledgeable fans understand that NDSU will probably dominate you. Many of you are pretending like your game against NDSU was close last year. It wasn't. Your game against North Dakota however, now THAT was a close game.

You really reach for it don't you. Most every one seems to realize the Griz will need to play amazing to have a shot at pulling off an upset. Instead of continuing on your same ole schtick, read the range of comments instead of obsessing over two or three examples...you're kind of dense. Of course one or two people are going to predict 11-0 every year no matter what. it's a f...ing poll on a fan website. You should worry instead about the fact that your team has no depth at O-line and maybe one good cornerback.

It's a tough matchup right off the bat. To me, our offense has to score touchdowns, plain and simple. If we're not effective on O, game over.

We'll see. I think the Griz win.

I will be pleasantly surprised if the Griz don't get manhandled in the trenches...

Speaking of manhandling, how was your trip to Poland? Were the locals impressed with your ability to 'suck gravy through a straw'?

It was closer than when the scats played in Fargo.

See the Griz5700 post above. There are way more griz fans out there thinking you're either going to win this game or it's going to go down to the wire, than you think. Yes, of course I'm just here to stir the pot and point out how stupid some people's predictions are. I'm usually right on with my predictions.

This game isn't going to be very close. I'd say the odds of MSU going undefeated in regular season this year is more likely than you upsetting NDSU, and neither is gonna happen.

This is my point. You glaum onto a couple points of optimism and then you make a grand statement about the majority of fans. This is what you do over and over. Who really knows? If the Griz can create some turnovers and our offense is effective, there's no reason it won't be close. If we can't move the ball, it could be a long day. I'm not expecting the Griz to stop the Bison run game. But there's more to the game than that. As I said, turnovers and our offense versus their restructured D will be interesting, and sorry, but nobody really knows how that will turn out. That's why the game is played. One thing is for certain, the Griz almost never get beat badly at home. And I know how it works for you, if the Griz lose by two touchdowns then they got "DESTROYED." Though to me destroyed is what we regularly do to playoff opponents in WaGriz, (lots of 55 - 7 type scores), and of course, what we did to you guys last year. That would be a much better use of the word. Based on the history of Griz at home, I really don't think it's that crazy for Griz fans to think the game could be close.

Boy, all it took was a quick scan through your posts from last November to put that to bed.
