So I am going through USA Today's section and they have Montana a 16 seed against Virginia in the SouthEast Region.

Question, will any Big Sky team ever not be a non-16 seed in these projections? Montana's RPI is much better than than the other 16's (150) but this conference is killing us. Weber is the closest at 154, everyone else is way down.

Wonder where we'd be if we hadn't shit the bed against SJSU and actually pulled out the Gonzaga game?

I see that Joe lunardi has weber st in as a 15. He has had the Griz for weeks as a 16.
Wonder why the change in teams and why does he think wsu would be a 15???
It will all shake out in Reno

Some of it is probably based on all the higher seeds. That would be my guess anyway.

I would be stunned if UM or Weber won the conference tourney if their ncaa seed was higher ("lower / better) than a 14.

I agree, it seems that a Big Sky team ceiling is a 14 at best. Of course the last time Montana was a 14 we drew Syracuse - who won the whole thing as a 3 seed......match-ups.

I won't be a bit surprised if the Big Sigh winner is a 16 this year.

We were a 13 seed when we drew the four seed Syracuse last and Syracuse lost in the Semifinals. However, Syracuse was a very underrated team that year for sure. I didn't see any other time when we played Syracuse in the tournament and the only time the Orangemen won it all was in 2003, and Montana wasn't in it that year.

No way is the BSC winner a 16 unless it's not Weber or UM (admittedly a decent possibility this year. Thanks Foolerton!!!!).

How many times has UM drawn the Tourney champ? UNLV once, Duke once, Kentucky? Seems like there were three time we got smoked by the eventual champions. I can't remember if we were 16 seeds tho. Might have been 15s or 14s. Anyone?
