Ok so I guess PSU has passed Montana, Montana State, EWU and you could probably throw a few more BSC programs that should never lose the BSC to a portland state....but you're always a pessimistic douche so I'm sure you'll have a good answer.

Badlands, you are assuming that everyone has better athletes than PSU...and that is wrong. The issues at PSU was never about the lack of athletes, and this year they found a guy that has figured out how to use them. Whether the program is bankrupt or lives in the shadow of UO and OSU doesn't change that. Montana and Montana State have less talent overall...and it showed.
