Remember when SDSU had the ball late and a chance to tie? Oh, wait, they never did.

We were pedestrian in the second half but SDSU hit cards on the river a couple times in the second half. I have my money on Coach Stitt to get us sorted in the second half next week. They have to beat us to even the season series.

Yep. TB needs to be mentioned in any conversation about great Griz defensive ends. Holmes is doing his number proud. Think I heard on the radio that Holmes tied TB for 2nd on the all time tfl list. Good shit.

Agreed...We are VERY fortunate to have TY. Over the Delaney years we had a pretty good defense but not much of an offense to speak of. Now add in an offensive minded coach as well as his former d coordinator and we have a new and improved offense as well as a defense with a proven coordinator at this level and a proven coordinator at the D-II level by his side.

Ty is the most overrated coach ever. The fan base that supports him is the epitome of what is wrong with our team and school. He has the best athletes available in all of FCS yet rarely, if ever, shuts a single team out.

The second half felt more like we were stopping ourselves more that the SDSU was stopping us. Yeah they ran a little more pressure, and stopped more of the runs short. But the missed passes/catches seemed to do more to stall the 5-6 drive with a 3&7 out.

Inspite of bonehead penalties and sluggish second half we avoid a loss.

The sdsu staff made a lot of adjustments that created problems for offense.

We beat a very good team, on to Fargo.

How many first down plays were runs between the tackles?
For the last few games my wife ( who knows nothing about football ) knew exactly where the play was going 90% of the time. If my wife has it figured out can she be a D coordinator?

1st Drive (3 & out): Incomplete Pass
2nd Drive: Completed Pass (62 yards), Run (2 yards), Run (1 yard)
3rd Drive: Completed Pass (9 yards), Completed Pass (9 yards), Run (8 yards), Run (14 yards), Run (-1 yard, kneel down)

So, of 8 first downs, exactly 4 were runs and 4 were passes.
