Montana is too rich a program for a coach like Stitt. He would have been a great OC at this level for a program like Montana. He really fed UofM some bullStitt.

We can agree to this

Can't run read option with a QB that won't keep the ball

Cant run theread option with a QB that shouldnt keep the ball, hes too slow.

Most fast pace offenses have QB that is average when it comes to speed

Oh well better playing team today won

With the game demoted to the tablet and audio.off I'm seeing lots of confusion on both O and D before the snap 13 freakin games into the season. That's coaching, folks - or the lack of it.

Stitt was badly out coached. It took 30 minutes for him to figure out what the UNDSU defense was doing. Ty on the other hand, put up a hell of a fight. Had there been any offense @ all, the defense would have been pretty dam good.

Congratulations to the NDSU Bison coaches and players and fans.

That was a very sound and strong NDSU team. The players executed well in all three areas of the game, with the Bison defense scoring two touchdowns (while only giving up one td), the Bison special teams scored one touchdown, and the Bison offense was stellar as well. Coach Klieman and his staff have a very strong program, and Griz fans respect what NDSU has accomplished.

Jackass Engstrom in a Griz letter jacket on the Griz sideline in the Fargodome. That doesn't help matters. We all hate Engstrom!
Hate is not a word an educated adult should use.
Okay. How about many of us believe he is one of the worst university presidents in the country.
That's being generous.

It was a good first season for Coach Stitt. Great job with the D by Coach Gregorak. And all of our players have so much heart. Proud to be a Grizzly!

I don't think Coach Stitt lost us the game. This offense is always going to depend heavily on the QB, and ours didn't have his best day today. But Brady came back strong after his injury, and I think he'll be more ready if he gets another chance to face these guys. Also, home field advantage is huge when these 2 teams play. So here's to having a great season next year and compiling a better record than the Bison - can you imagine a playoff game with them in Missoula!

Well, disappointing loss; particularly because it was not a predetermined loss. NDSU did not play a "lights out" game by any stretch. The reasons we lost have been discussed in detail on other threads, before this game was even played. Thanks to ISU, we did have a pretty good playoff run however. But, the game also has to be held to Stitt's own standards, that he has a QB that understands "his" playbook and, as he stated, "opens it up." Congratulations to NDSU on a fine victory, another winning season, and best of wishes for the rest of the playoffs.

Number one is team discipline. A direct reflection on the head coach. Major penalties and on this punt, you see a push from behind, thank goodness it doesn't get called, but a very dumb play. Yep, this team has some great talent and the only thing holding it back was Stitt. Hey, another sideline pattern... Great play call... How about a fly sweep now too.

Dude you're an idiot, crawl back into your hole. Anyone who thinks this team is worse off with Stitt at the helm is a f***[*] idiot. Wait till this dude gets the players he wants. Kids gravitate towards Stitt he will have his pick of the mill on the recruiting trail and he will get the exact kids he needs to run his show. Don't be surprised if we're in the chipper within the next 2 years. And at that time I will happily tell you and the other Stitt haters to politely f*** off

Badlands, is Stitt paying you to defend his poor coaching?

I just think it's idiotic to blame a 1st year coach playing with zero kids he recruited who beat NDSU,EWU, and State....took us to the 2nd round of the playoffs. And than loses to the 4x defending national champions with a qb who throws 4 picks. 2 of them pick sixes. I think it's absolutely insane to blame THAT dude for the loss and to be anything but entirely optimistic for the next years to come is asinine

NDSU improved much more than UM did over the season. They Bobby balled it and won. The "exciting" 100 play offense Stitt supposedly is the Mad scientist creator of was no where to be seen the last 6 quarters of football. Take away first half against SDSU and you see what Stitt offense did against playoff level teams. Hats off to the numerous seniors that played their last game in a Griz uniform. Lots and lots of things need done in the next 9 months to be a legit playoff contender (both by player improvement and coaching reflection /learning )

Thanks to the Griz fans in this thread who congratulated NDSU.

Just a couple of thoughts:
1. The element of suprise only works once, dont be too hard on Sitt.
2. Lets do it again next year but a month later.

Oh and Griz1952: Suck it.

NDSU continues to have good coaches, discipline team that executes what they are coached and a team effort by relying on several players to be productive. These are attributes worthy of their record.

Let's see if the new first year Portland coach will continue to shine with UNI and show us that maybe coaching is not just ALL about waiting and working with the players within your system but working with the players you have. good luck

Joseppy must be a band wagon fan don't know sh**t, he'll u can't blame a coach that used what he was given and get it to the second round, better yet open the season with a win vs the 4 x defending champs. U don't know sh**t crawl back under the rock u came from and don't rep the Griz please. Go Griz.

Embarrassing that every time the Griz are losing the fan base screams "holding"

No one has talked about holding since like the 1st quarter, maybe early 2nd

I only scream "holding" when I can see it from my recliner and the ref standing 6 feet away looking directly at the offending player chooses not to call it. Couldn't care less what the score is at the time.
