In light of playing NDSU, one of the nation's best defense, after the first game of the year will we actually know how effective the offense is, or will we need to see how it fares against a more average foe?

Isn't our offense supposed to take what the defense gives them? 17 choices per play. up to everyone to be on the same page. I think that week 7 offense will be better than week 2 of course. year 3 better than year 1. The key to this (and every game) is execution. Realistically week 1 we can absolutely win this game going away. If our defense plays well and offense clicks, it could be a big win. That is slim odds, but I think we will be in until the end. A play here or there makes the difference in a 1 score game. This could be one of those years that start slow and pick up steam at the end and blast through the playoffs. Hang on fans...This is going to be fun!

Oh, and of course both Ginger and Mary Ann...sheesh

This. All Day. Will Stitt's Offense work at this level, and more specifically is Stitt cut out to be a head coach at this level, which has a completely different set of job duties from D2. Keep in mind, he was able to do OK in D2, not spectacular deep playoff runs or anything, and yes I get the engineer thing, but still he only did OK. That was against crappy competition like Fart Lewis, Adams State, etc... teams that Glacier High could probably compete with. This team coming into Missoula is used to manhandling everyone they play, including any and all FBS teams that dare to play them. All that being said, I don't think you'll have a lot of your answers after this game, because you're going to get throttled. Maybe after the season you'll know more, or maybe after the following season you'll have a better idea if the Stitt Show experiment is ever going to work there.

Personally, I'd rather take Stitt over coach ron ash even if Stitt goes 0-11. At least he has the balls to play NDSU, and doesn't turn his Docker-covered ass and high-tail it as far away from them as possible as ron did.
