Another oldie but goodie: "A win's a win."

Had an amusing thought -- hard to get to that mood right now, but did it anyway. What do you think defensive coordinators for future Griz opponents are going to show their teams? The wholesale ineptitude of the first half, or the stretches when the Griz got going and put up 520 yards of total offense against what was, if nothing else, supposed to be a pretty good defensive outfit? That more than doubled the offensive output for the Red Flash, BTW. Yes, they were big on punt/kick returns, but -- except for a few big plays, the Griz D pretty much shut down their offense.

True but really this SFU team had no business being that close to the Griz. Next week will be a better gage of where this team is. Especially Gus. On the road at NIU, isn't the place for four turnovers...
Oh, for sure. That was ugly as sin.

But I honestly thought we might not pull that one out at halftime. Glad they turned it around. Need to clean up special teams and stop Gus from self destructing. His last three football games have been awful.

Thought the D played fairly well, still have some work to do but they are mostly new. Offense was shit the first half. Turned it on in the 2nd. UNI is going to destroy you. NAU and EWU will be duking it out for conference champion.

You were playing against a really weak conference team in the lower half of it. Not impressive realistically.

Gee, a reasonable fan. Yes they need to play better against NIU for sure. Good luck!

No, I'm a REALISTIC fan! That doesn't make me a d*ckhead, and agree with you! Don't confuse your drunken stupor with reality! You bitches will be lucky to win three games this year.

Wow, sensitive tonight. We will win more than three. Let's see what we do againsr
Bryant Univ. as they are rated above St Francis.

Only really one Stat matters on Monday morning.....
Cat's 0 -1
Griz 1-0

We need to come ready to play better in ALL aspects next week against UNI, in particular on Special Teams and Offense. The Panthers are a much better team then the Red Flash, we play like we did tonight it will not be pretty.

If you don't like it, f***[*] leave. This is a GRIZ board, dipshit. Go home to your own board.

Are you a little sensitive about your teams embarassing performance tonight?

Not remotely, jackass. I'm sensitive to a f***[*] moron coming onto ANOTHER TEAM'S board and criticizing ANOTHER TEAM's fans about their expectations for their team. See you don't HAVE to "put up with it." You can leave. In fact, I'm sure I speak for the entire board when I say we'd prefer you to leave.

You must be really mad at your team's performance tonight. Get a handle on it. Not good for your health guy.

Yeah, I'm so upset about my team's performance I didn't even watch it. I'm sick of idiotic fans of mediocre teams (that lost) crowing on another team's message board about their team's performance (that won, by the way).

Griz 1-0
'Scats 0-1

That and the regular November collapse! Look, you would will always be the the red headed step child! Live with it! You will lose 8 games this year! Oh Bigsky33, you're delusional! SJU would have beaten you or IU tonight! They have heart, and you have no soul!

Let's put it this way. They have a lot to work on this week. Special teams was horrible. Offense was bad and defense was ok. Gus cannot turn the ball over 3 times in a half and expect to win. The verdict is still out but that was not a good football team tonight.

Well that was interesting. My take away from the weekends games. Cal Poly, EWU and NAU are the top teams in the conference and it is not even close. Griz have room to improve but realistically this team will probably see at least three losses UNI, CAL POLY (Always Play Griz tough) and will say split between EWU and NAU. Portland is over rated this year as well as UND. Jerry Louie Magee is a dynamic play maker and a future All American. Cat's suck but are actually better on defense then last year and if they get a rhythm on offense could win 5 or 6 games. If Brady G can not keep it together for an entire four quarters every week and the offense can not get it going early then add one or two more losses to that just as the law of averages. Ben Wyer getting hurt weakens the O line dramatically. Was a decent defensive unit they faced tonight but the Griz have much tougher tests on the way. Hoping this is like a couple of seasons in the past where they looked weak the first game then start to click. Overall I think they took a step back form last year though.

Very vanilla offense. Ran, about, 6 different plays tonight. Must have wanted to show UNI very little on film. Special teams were special Ed. D was put in tough situations all night with the turnovers. St. Francis running back was best offensive player on the field. Louis-McGee is the real deal! Here is to getting Sanders back at safety and not making a team look like the Patriots against Montana. Yes a win is a win and it is the first game but it was ugly.

I understand the vanilla offense, but the o-line looked pedestrian! I love the griz, but that line better improve!

One of the dumbest statements in this entire thread, and that is saying a lot.
